DALI Announces Phantom IW Sub S-100 and CI Amp-2500 DSP

DALI’s Phantom IW Sub S-100 and CI Amp-2500 DSP offer a streamlined powered in-wall subwoofer solution for home theater enthusiasts.

DALI Phantom SUB S-100 In-Wall Subwoofer Front and Back

Danish speaker maker, DALI, has announced a new Phantom in-wall subwoofer/amplifier combination that will be available through Lenbrook Americas to North American music listeners and home theater enthusiasts.

In-wall subwoofers have become increasingly popular in the CI category; DALI joins a growing list of brands like KEF, Monoprice, and SVS who have introduced new models in the category over the past 12 months. In-wall subwoofers save space and can be integrated into both the wall and ceiling for home theater systems.

IW SUB S-100

The DALI PHANTOM IW SUB S-100 builds on the foundation of the K-60 LP’s bass driver design. It features a 10-inch driver with an extremely stiff, custom aluminum cone and unites long throw capability with an ultra-shallow profile.

The S-100 is also the first DALI speaker to include CSS (Constant Surface Surround) technology which has been co-developed by Purifi Audio, Denmark. The technology offers a unique surround geometry of alternating positive and negative regions, keeping surround modulation to a minimum. The surround surface sound is always constant, no matter the position of the diaphragm.

The SUB S-100 subwoofer has been developed with the PHANTOM CI AMP-2500 DSP amplifier to achieve the best performance within an MDF cabinet (more on the amp in the next section)

Sub S-100 Specifications

As mentioned above, this amplifier was designed to match the needs of the S-100 subwoofer.

Featuring Class-D amplification (2 x 500 watts), the PHANTOM CI AMP-2500 DSP provides a lot of power with extremely high efficiency and ultra-low distortion.

Tip: The amplifier can also be bridged into a 1,000-watt mono amp.

With so much headroom, the CI AMP-2500 DSP is not only a great match for S-100 but other S and M-series in-wall speakers and subwoofers.

Tip: The AMP-2500 can power up to four SUB-S-100s.

The AMP-2500 supports rack mount placement and features an adaptive fan control, which keeps fan noise to a minimum. The amp also features a fully featured DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and configurator web interface. Its built-in DSP is tailored with model specific pre-sets to optimize DALI CI models, for the best possible sound experience.
