Shopping for a vinyl lover should be easy. It rarely is.
Record collectors are notoriously particular about their turntables, cartridges, phono stages, cleaning gear, and even the accessories they swear make a difference. Buy the wrong thing and it can end up untouched in a drawer; get it right and you can genuinely improve how an entire record collection sounds.
Of course, a great vinyl system involves more than a spinning platter. Loudspeakers and amplifiers are just as important, and a little retro hi-fi styling never hurt anyone. We’ve included a few components that aren’t exclusively about vinyl playback but make perfect sense for someone who appreciates good sound and classic audio design.
Our picks cover newcomers, experienced collectors, and those who appreciate the equipment almost as much as the music. Some are practical, some are indulgent, and all deserve consideration beyond their appearance.
The goal is simple: avoid the novelty junk, skip the useless “vinyl lifestyle” clutter, and buy something that earns a permanent place in the listening room.

I think the old Discwasher with the hollowed out handle to store the cleaning solution must be the most protected patent in audio product history. Nobody has fight out a way to store the bottle in any of the new products.
