SVS Launches 3000 R|Evolution Series Subwoofers with New Drivers, DSP, and More Power — Now Available

Just days after CES 2026, SVS’s 3000 R|Evolution subwoofers are now available—but do they raise the bar for output and control?

SVS 3000 Revolution Series Subwoofers

Fresh off their CES 2026 debut less than ten days ago, SVS has officially announced the availability of its new 3000 R|Evolution Series subwoofers, bringing the company’s latest driver, amplifier, and DSP advances out of the demo room and into production.

Built on the technology platform developed for the flagship 17-Ultra R|Evolution and 5000 R|Evolution Series, the 3000 R|Evolution line represents a ground-up rethink of what sealed and ported subwoofers can deliver in a more manageable footprint. With redesigned drivers, updated amplifier architecture, refined power management, and significantly enhanced DSP, SVS is promising deeper low-frequency extension, higher output, and measurably better control—aimed as much at musical accuracy as outright slam.

SVS 3000 R|Evolution Series Models

  • SB-3000 R|Evolution, a compact sealed subwoofer engineered for precision and musical refinement.
  • PB-3000 R|Evolution, a ported bass reflex design built for room-pressurizing output with reference-grade control.

Core Features

Both models share the following key technologies.

High-Excursion 13-inch Driver: Each subwoofer uses a newly engineered 13-inch high-excursion driver designed to deliver deep, controlled low-frequency output, extending down to 17Hz for the sealed model and 15Hz for the ported model, while maintaining low distortion at high output levels.

Flat-Edge Wound Split-Wind Voice Coil: A flat-edge wound, split-wind voice coil improves thermal efficiency and ensures consistent magnetic force and responsiveness, even during extreme cone excursion.

Toroidal Ferrite Magnet Motor: A precision-designed toroidal ferrite magnet motor, paired with an aluminum shorting ring and advanced suspension components, provides tight control, reduced distortion, and linear performance at high output.

Class D Amplification: Power is supplied by the STA-1200D2 Class D amplifier, featuring a discrete MOSFET output stage capable of delivering 1,200 watts continuous and 4,000+ watts peak output when required.

Advanced DSP: A 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP manages power delivery, thermal behavior, and driver control in real time, optimizing performance and protecting the system under demanding conditions.

Switch-Mode Power Supply: The switch-mode power supply is engineered to deliver consistent performance and stable output even when AC line conditions fluctuate.

SVS Subwoofer Control App: Installed on a smartphone (iOS, Android), this app provides for easy setup, tuning, and system integration including volume, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, port tuning modes (PB-3000 R|Evolution only), and up to six parametric EQ bands, with three onboard memory presets for fast system adjustments. Also, an Auto EQ feature is forthcoming for the app that will be able to measure your room characteristics and automatically calculate the needed filters to optimize subwoofer performance.

Gary Yacoubian, President of SVS, said: “The original 3000 Series became the most popular subwoofers worldwide because they struck a rare balance between size, output, and accuracy. With 3000 R|Evolution, we didn’t just improve that formula—we redefined it. By bringing flagship R|Evolution technology into this series, we’ve delivered deeper bass, greater control, lower distortion, and dramatically improved musicality, while enhancing the user experience. It’s a massive leap forward and a new reference for what subwoofers can achieve anywhere near their price.”

The Bottom Line

After hearing the 3000 R|Evolution Series at CES 2026, it’s clear that SVS didn’t simply refresh a popular product line—they meaningfully upgraded it. The new high-excursion driver design, more sophisticated DSP, and a 1,200-watt RMS / 4,000+ watt peak Class D amplifier deliver deeper extension, better control, and cleaner output at higher levels than the original 3000 Series, all without requiring a larger enclosure.

These subwoofers are an easy recommendation for home theater owners who want serious low-frequency impact without stepping up to physically massive or ultra-premium models, as well as for music listeners who value bass accuracy as much as output. With performance that pushes well beyond what their pricing suggests, the 3000 R|Evolution Series reinforces why SVS remains one of the safest bets in high-performance subwoofers.
