Fyne Audio has never been particularly interested in building anonymous loudspeakers. The Glasgow company likes large point-source drivers, beautifully finished cabinets, serious engineering and enough Scottish character to ensure nobody mistakes its products for another rectangular MDF box from somewhere warmer.
For its tenth anniversary, Fyne has returned to the loudspeaker that started the entire affair.
The new F1-10 Anniversary is based on the original F1-10 conceived in 2016 and launched in 2017, but calling this a commemorative version undersells what Dr. Paul Mills and his engineering team have actually changed. There is a newly developed IsoFlare point-source driver with an aluminosilicate glass compression tweeter, the first fully integrated SuperTrax super tweeter, a redesigned crossover and enough premium hardware inside to make the accountant reach for something stronger than Irn-Bru.
Production is limited to 30 individually numbered pairs worldwide, with U.S. pricing set at $49,999.99 per pair. They are built, assembled and finished at Fyne Audio’s Glasgow manufacturing facility.
And yes, Fyne throws in a pair of limited-edition etched Glencairn whisky glasses.
At fifty grand, that feels less like an accessory and more like preparation for opening the invoice.

Glass Changes the IsoFlare Equation
The biggest change is sitting in the middle of the familiar 250mm (10-inch) IsoFlare driver.
Fyne’s point-source architecture positions the high-frequency compression driver at the acoustic center of the bass/midrange cone, allowing the two to behave more like a single source. We have seen variations of that technology across Fyne’s lineup, from the affordable F500 Series through the enormous F704SP we covered at High End Munich 2025.
The F1-10 Anniversary takes it somewhere new.
Instead of the 75mm titanium dome compression tweeter used by the current F1-10S, the Anniversary employs a 75mm ultra-thin aluminosilicate glass diaphragm that has been chemically strengthened using an ion-treatment process. Fyne claims the material offers up to seven times the resonance damping of typical metal domes while retaining sufficient rigidity and low mass for high-frequency reproduction.
More interestingly, the compression driver crosses over at just 750Hz.
That means the glass diaphragm isn’t merely handling the top octave where audiophiles argue about things their dogs can hear better anyway. It reaches down into a region that has considerable influence on vocals and instrumental timbre.
Fyne also developed a new computer-optimized annular waveguide for the driver to control dispersion while maintaining the IsoFlare’s point-source behaviour.

SuperTrax Moves Inside
We’ve covered Fyne’s SuperTrax technology before. Introduced in 2024 as an external add-on super tweeter, it uses a 25mm Thin Ply Carbon Diaphragm driver firing vertically into a Tractrix-profile diffuser to create 360-degree high-frequency dispersion.
The F1-10 Anniversary is the first Fyne loudspeaker to incorporate the system directly into the cabinet.
The integrated SuperTrax comes in at 16kHz and extends the loudspeaker’s specified response to 60kHz. Its output can also be adjusted by ±3dB, joining separate ±3dB controls for overall high-frequency energy and the 2.5kHz to 5kHz presence region.
Nobody is listening to a 50kHz test tone over breakfast. The point is bandwidth, phase behavior and dispersion around the upper limit of the main driver, with Fyne claiming improvements in spatial information and perceived openness within the audible range.
That is also what makes the Anniversary considerably more interesting than bolting an external super tweeter onto the existing F1-10S.
This entire three-way system was engineered together.

More Than a Driver Swap
Fyne developed a dedicated crossover using ClarityCap PUR polypropylene capacitors, low-loss laminated-core inductors and non-inductive thick-film resistors. Rather than putting everything on a conventional PCB, the components are hard-wired onto rigid fiberboard panels.
Bass duties still rely on one of Fyne’s more sensible pieces of engineering: the downward-firing BassTrax Tractrix diffuser.
The port fires onto a shaped diffuser in the plinth, distributing low-frequency energy through 360 degrees rather than firing it directly toward one wall or the listening position. The Anniversary also retains Fyne’s internal twin-cavity arrangement for controlling standing waves and behavior around the port tuning frequency.
That gives the F1-10 Anniversary a claimed in-room response of 26Hz to 60kHz at -6dB.
Built Like a Scottish Flagship
The enclosure is constructed from high-density birch plywood with substantial internal bracing and solid wood trim. American walnut veneer, contrasting high-gloss burr walnut and champagne-gold detailing distinguish the Anniversary from its less expensive relatives.
“Less expensive” remains relative when discussing Fyne’s F1 range.
Every pair receives an individual serial number, signed certificate and anniversary booklet. Buyers also receive machined floor cups, an adjustment tool, Neotech jumper cables and those aforementioned whisky glasses.
The F1-10 Anniversary weighs 129.4 pounds per speaker.
Drink after installation.

The Bottom Line
There are plenty of expensive anniversary loudspeakers that amount to different veneer, commemorative badges and an optimistic increase in MSRP.
This isn’t one of them.
Fyne has used the F1-10 Anniversary to introduce a new glass-diaphragm IsoFlare compression driver and integrate SuperTrax into a loudspeaker for the first time. Those are technologies that could eventually migrate into less exotic models, much as IsoFlare, BassTrax and other F1-derived engineering already have across Fyne’s range. Fyne itself describes its broader lineup as benefiting from technology developed for the flagship F1 Series.
That makes these 30 pairs more than expensive Scottish furniture.
They’re also a preview of where Fyne Audio might be going next.

That beauty is in the eye of the beholders is meme and fact and it is also true that looks are a very subjective subject. I will say this. I refuse to subject myself to that which I think is fugly. These speakers are far from fugly to my mind’s eye. Alas that I am a total monetary plebe and cannot afford them. To those who can and do? Good for you!

ORT,
Not a fan of these. Their other speakers look better in my opinion. Simplicity.
