In conjunction with its forthcoming Dymension CI Series in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, Definitive Technology has also revealed its forthcoming Mythos series on-wall speaker lineup.
The new Mythos speaker line includes three on-wall LCR home theater speakers and three on-wall passive soundbars.
Designed to match the sleek proportions of 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch TVs from leading manufacturers, the Mythos Series achieves a seamless, minimalist look that complements any home decor.
Tip: The Mythos LCR speakers and passive soundbars adhere to VESA wall-mount specifications.
Features
Multi-Speaker Array: 5, 7, or 9 drivers are integrated in the specific LCR models, and 11 or 13 drivers for the 3C Passive Soundbar models
XTDD Drivers (Xtra Thin Dynamic Dome Drivers): These drivers have a thin profile but still allow the Mythos speaker series to have the power, clarity, dynamic range, and extended response you’d expect from speakers that have more physical depth. The XTDD drivers are used for both the mid-range and woofers.
Tip: The woofers for the 3C passive soundbars also incorporate Anodized Aluminum in their construction.
Aluminum Oxide Dome Tweeters: This is a rigid design that supports precise high-frequency sound imaging.
Timbre-Matched: The Mythos Series is timbre matched with both the Dymension Series tower and center-channel speakers, as well as the forthcoming Dymension CI Series.
Aircraft Grade Aluminum Cabinet: Sturdy construction in conjunction with separate acoustic chambers in the 3C passive soundbar models.
Precision Crossovers: This provides for a smooth transition between mid-bass and high frequencies.
Microperforated Powercoated Steel Grills: This provides a stylish aesthetic while still providing optimum acoustic transparency.
Exterior Finish: The LCR speakers and passive soundbars come with a black anodized aluminum finish.
Weatherproof: The Mythos series features an IP66 rating. These speakers can not only be used indoors but outdoors as well. Expand your outdoor entertainment setup with better audio.
Thin Profile: Since the Mythos series is designed for on-wall placement, having a thin depth is desirable. The Mythos LCR speakers and 3C passive soundbars all feature a space-saving depth of only 1.89 inches.
Adjustable Extensions: For better visual matching, height, and width extension is provided for a better match for LG, Samsung, and Sony TVs.
