INDIANAPOLIS (January 8, 2007) Thanks to the arrival of HD-DVD/Blu-Ray players, satellite-delivered television services and HDMI-equipped flatscreens, HDMI is now an absolute must for any all-in-one DVD system.
We are pleased to announce an updated version of our multimedia-capable DMR 60 DVD receiver. Now equipped with a rear-mounted HDMI output, the new DMR 61 offers crisp, vivid video quality that will truly enrich your home entertainment experience.
Ultra-slim, the appearance of this unit is unchanged. Finished in sleek black and silver, this receiver offers DVD/CD replay, FM/AM listening (with 40 presets) and Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS 5.1/Dolby Pro-Logic II output. With 5 x 60W of power on tap there’s more than enough power to reproduce even the most dynamic of movie soundtracks.
But, there’s much more. This is a device designed for the multimedia age, so you’ll also find a USB (V1.1) socket for compatible memory card peripherals.
Alternatively, for even simpler replay of MP3/WMA/MPEG-4/JPEG files there’s a built-in 4-in-1 flash card reader. Just download your files onto the card from your computer, then pop it into the DMR 61. If you have a device without removeable memory you can now route audio via the DMR 61’s new front-mounted line-in jack (there’s also a pair of stereo audio line-in phono jacks in the rear).
A few moments of navigation through the easy-to-use onscreen menu system and you’ll soon be enjoying your content. If there’s no DVD in the tray, it will automatically start playing audio files from a connected USB memory stick/ MP3 player or a flash card.
Users will also note that the remote is equally simple to use – it’s been tailored specifically for this product.
DVD+/-R/RW, DVD+R Dual Layer, CD-R/RW, VCD, and SVCD. Xvid and DivX (3.11-5.xx) encoded discs can all be played.
Component video output (with Progressive Scan) is available as well as RGB via Scart (for European markets), S-Video and now, of course, HDMI. A subwoofer output allows enhanced bass reproduction and a pair of digital inputs (one co-axial/one optical) adds further flexibility.
To complement the DMR 61, Jamo also offers the Aesthetic A 10 Series. This three-model series includes the A 102 satellites, A 10 CEN center channel speaker and SUB 200 subwoofer.
The compact A 102 satellites are solid, magnetically shielded boxes that pack a mighty punch, due in no small part to the 3-inch co-axial driver. Finished in high-gloss black (silver is optional) these are intended for placement on the wall (a wall bracket is supplied as standard).
Naturally the center speaker sports a similar drive unit configuration for optimal timbre matching.
Lastly, there’s the SUB 200 subwoofer. Equipped with an 8-inch downfiring woofer this is a bass-reflex design with both line-level and high-level inputs, automatic on/off switching and controls for level, cut-off and phase.
