OneOdio Focus A6 Over-Ear Headphones Deliver Big Sound, ANC, and Bluetooth 5.3 for Under $70

With hybrid active noise cancellation, LDAC, 75-hour battery life, and Bluetooth 6.0, the OneOdio Focus A6 Wireless Headphones might be hard to beat for the price.

OneOdio Focus A6 Wireless ANC Headphones Woman Profile

Tech trickle-down is alive and well in the headphone world, and nowhere is that more obvious than in budget over-ear models trying to punch above their price tag. The OneOdio Focus A6 is a case in point—an affordable pair of ANC headphones that crams in premium-sounding features under $70. That’s no small feat in a segment where differentiation is a knife fight and everyone’s racing to pack in features without blowing up the price.

Visually, the Focus A6 leans hard into premium cues. The frame uses aviation-grade aluminum alloy treated with nano-sandblasting, anodization, and CNC-machined CD patterning. Fancy language, but the result is a rugged, refined look that doesn’t scream “budget.” At just 240 grams, it’s lightweight enough for all-day use, helped by protein leather ear cushions, soft memory foam, and ventilation ports that keep things breathable. Add a folding, telescoping headband and you’ve got a commuter-ready design that travels well—at least on paper.

OneOdio Focus A6 Sound Performance and Noise Cancellation Features

Under the hood, the OneOdio Focus A6 is equipped with 40mm dynamic drivers that aim to deliver a wide soundstage and a well-balanced tuning across lows, mids, and highs. The bass leans deep and full, while the mids and treble aim for clarity without overexposure—an ambitious goal for sub-$70 headphones.

The Focus A6 also packs in hybrid active noise cancellation, claiming up to -48dB of noise reduction. It uses both feedforward and feedback microphones to cancel out ambient sound across a range of frequencies. In practice, this should reduce the drone of traffic, chatter, or engine noise when you’re commuting or working in louder environments.

To improve voice call quality, the A6 adds ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) with an AI-powered call algorithm designed to isolate your voice from background noise. Whether you’re on a Zoom call or stuck in a busy café, the goal here is clear vocal pickup without distractions.

For connectivity, OneOdio promises Bluetooth 6.0 (though that versioning might raise some eyebrows, as Bluetooth 5.4 is the latest official spec), and includes LDAC support for high-resolution wireless audio on compatible devices. If you prefer a wired connection, you can plug in via USB-C, which is a nice touch at this price point.

For those using the Focus A6 for streaming or gaming, OneOdio includes ISOAL technology—a feature designed to reduce audio latency and improve synchronization between audio and video. While it’s not on par with aptX Adaptive or gaming-specific low-latency modes, it’s a solid inclusion for casual users who need smoother playback on the go.

Bluetooth connectivity also includes dual-device (multipoint) support, allowing you to stay connected to two devices simultaneously—say, a smartphone and a laptop—so you can take a call without needing to manually disconnect from your playlist.

Battery life is another standout on paper: the Focus A6 boasts up to 75 hours of playback on a single charge (with ANC off), making it a strong contender for all-day and multi-day use. If you’re running low, a 10-minute quick charge nets you up to 10 hours of listening—plenty to get you through a long flight or an unexpected work session.

For added convenience, OneOdio introduces dedicated App Control (iOS/Android) for Focus A6. This allows users to personalize their listening experience through custom and preset EQ modes, including Spatial Cinema Sound.

The companion app for the Focus A6 adds a few useful extras, including the ability to toggle between four noise control modes: Noise Cancellation, Transparency, Normal, and Wind Noise Reduction. These give users some flexibility based on their environment, whether they’re on a noisy commute, walking outdoors, or just chilling at home.

The app also offers firmware updates to keep the headphones up to date and includes a headphone location feature, which can come in handy if you misplace them around the house (or the backseat of an Uber).

According to OneOdio, the Focus A6 is intended to set a new benchmark for affordable high-performance headphones, aiming to bring premium features like LDAC, hybrid ANC, and extended battery life to a price point that won’t scare off budget-conscious buyers. Whether it actually pulls that off will come down to real-world performance, but on paper, it’s packing a lot for under $70.

The Bottom Line

Wireless headphones come in a broad range of price ranges, including the Focal Bathys ($800), the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 ($700), and the Sony WH-1000XM6 ($600). All are stellar performers, but if they are not in your budget, there are some inexpensive options that not only provide a great listening value but also practical features. Some examples include the Ear Fun Tune Pro, Wave Pro, and JLab JBuds Lux, which are available for about $70.

Another challenger has stepped into the sub-$70 arena: the OneOdio Focus A6. On paper, it’s one of those “how are they doing this for that price?” kind of products. While specs alone never tell the full story, the Focus A6 is clearly aiming to overdeliver.

We’re talking 40mm dynamic drivershybrid active noise cancellation, support for Bluetooth 6.0hi-res and spatial audio compatibility, and up to 70 hours of battery life—all for less than the cost of dinner for two. Whether it lives up to the hype will come down to how it actually sounds, but there’s no denying it brings a lot to the table for the price.

I have to imagine that for $70 these are cheap crap. How can they make any money at those prices?

They’re actually not cheap “crap” and they sell them by the truck load — which is how they make money.

Not everyone can afford a pair of Apple or Sony wireless headphones.

Just tried the OneOdio Focus A6 over-ear headphones — great sound quality for the price, and super comfortable even after hours of use. I’ve been using them while listening to music, editing, and even relaxing with a few games. Definitely a solid choice if you’re into both audio and casual gaming.
