Is now the time for an Extra Large TV to grace your living room or home theater? At this price, it may well be.

2024 TCL 98Q651G QLED 4K 98-inch TV

TCL has big plans for 2024. Last year, they sold around 10,000 98-inch TVs in North America. This year, they’re aiming to sell over 100,000 TVs 98 inches or larger and now we’re starting to see how they’re going to do that. This week, Amazon lowered the price of TCL’s latest 98-inch QLED TV, the Q65 Series from $2,999.99 to $1,998, and this includes free delivery. And it isn’t even Prime Day or Black Friday! So if you’re looking for a wall-sized extra large TV, you should check it out while it’s in stock and the price is low.

TCL 98-inch Q65 Series QLED TV on Amazon

We got to check out several of TCL’s new sets earlier this year at their launch event in New York City and were impressed by what we saw. While the Q65 is the company’s “entry level” 98-inch TV, it comes with features and technology that you’d normally see on the higher end sets. The 98-inch 98Q651G is a brand new 2024 model year TV which includes Quantum Dot color technology for wide color gamut, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, High Brightness+ full array LED Backlight, 120Hz Panel Refresh Rate (144 Hz Variable Refresh Rate) and TCL’s latest AIPQ PRO Processor with Deep Learning AI. It even comes with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and Auto Game Mode with ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for those who want to game on a truly giant screen.

The TV offers three 4K HDMI Inputs including one with eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) for connection to an external receiver or soundbar. It is also built on the Google TV smart OS for access to thousands of streaming apps. It also includes hands-free voice control with the included back-lit voice remote. The set has Google Chromecast Built-in, Apple Airplay2 and works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit for smart home integration.

With Google TV on board, TCL’s Q65 Series TV has all your favorite streaming apps.

The set does not include local dimming technology nor Mini LED backlighting, but it packs a punch in both features and picture quality (not to mention massive size), particularly for the price.
