The new Ultimate Ears EPICBOOM have arrived and look ready to take on Sonos in the category.

Big Sound: EPICBOOM’s oval design creates an impressive internal acoustic volume. Two 1.5-inch active mid-high frequency drivers are combined and a 4.6-inch woofer for 360-degree bass impact. Max room sound pressure level (SPL) is a room-filling 95 decibels. Frequency range is 50Hz to 20kHz.
Boom App: The BOOM app (includes PARTYUP) allows the pairing of multiple Ultimate Ears speakers. You can also wirelessly connect EPICBOOM, BOOM, BOOM 2, BOOM 3, MEGABOOM, MEGABOOM 3, and HYPERBOOM speakers for an expanded sound experience.
Adaptive EQ (via Boom App): The provided internal microphone automatically reads whatever room or outdoor space the EPICBOOM is in and balances the sound accordingly. Different pre-set EQs include Signature, Bass Boost, Game/Cinema, Podcast/Vocal, and the all-new Deep Relaxation mode. For larger spaces, Outdoor Boost cranks up the bass even further. Users can also customize the sound based on personal preferences.
Bluetooth (ver 5.2): Users can transmit their favorite tunes from their smartphone via wireless pairing or via the one-touch NFC feature.
