Enter to win a 10-piece Sennheiser mic kit and star in an ad!

With Sennheiser’s “My Song” contest, the spotlight is on you–and your original song. Now through March 31, 2008, high school students can enter to win a free 10-piece, professional-grade Sennheiser evolution microphone kit and a spot in an upcoming Sennheiser ad! What’s more, you’ll also be featured on the Sennheiser Artist site (www.sennheiserusa.com/artists) alongside such performers as Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Paramore!

To enter, visit www.sennheiserusa.com/MySong and hit the “click to enter” button. You’ll need to submit a direct link to your original song (which can be uploaded to sites like YouTube or MySpace) along with the title of your track. The five best songs will be chosen by a panel of secret judges. The lucky grand-prize winner will be selected by one of your favorite Sennheiser-endorsed artists!

“We continually are impressed with the level of skill and talent many young musicians possess and want to encourage musically-inclined students to follow their dreams,” says Stefanie Reichert, vice president of strategic marketing for Sennheiser Electronic Corporation. “The Sennheiser ‘My Song’ contest is the ultimate way for you to get your name out while getting a chance to outfit your entire band with the award-winning microphones of the stars.”

The 10-piece evolution microphone kit includes everything you need to mic a full band: two e 835 vocal mics, one e 609 SILVER guitar amp mic, one e 602 II bass drum mic, three e 604 tom/snare mics and two e 614 instrument condenser mics.

In addition to receiving the microphone prize pack, the winner will star in a Sennheiser ad that will run in 2009 in various magazines and will also be featured as the “Unsigned Artist of the Month” on the Sennheiser Artists web page. Four runner-ups will receive a pair of the industry-standard Sennheiser HD 280 Pro studio headphones, which provide stunning clarity and bass response.

But the giveaways don’t stop there: each visitor to the “My Song” contest page will receive one free black cadet-style cap emblazoned with the Sennheiser logo just for visiting!

Sennheiser’s “My Song” contest is open only to legal U.S. residents who are between the years of 13-18, and enrolled in high school at the time of entry. Odds of winning are based on number of entries. Only one entry per person or group will be accepted. All judges’ decisions are final. For contest rules, restrictions and other information, visit www.sennheiserusa.com/mysong.
