Employees the Key to Success
Oxnard, CA (March 4, 2008) — A recognized leader in the mobile electronics aftermarket industry, Scosche Industries celebrates its 28 year anniversary in 2008. Scosche celebrates this milestone with the people who helped shape the company from a small dream into a multi-million dollar reality.
“Scosche would not be the company it is today without the dedication and commitment from our employees,” said Roger Alves, president and CEO, Scosche Industries. “28 years is a significant milestone in our business, especially for a family-owned organization. While some other companies might also have similar years in the business, what makes our company great and special are those around us who make it happen.”
Scosche celebrates not only its success as a business for 28 years, but its success to develop, foster and build a team of individuals committed to the aftermarket industry and its continued growth. A testament to Scosche, many of the employees have been with the company for over 10-years. According to Alves, “I am proud of our employees and those who helped build the business. We continue to lead the industry with our innovations and have seen increasing growth year over year. These successes are because of the great people who work here.”
From operations, to sales, to marketing, to warehousing, Scosche employees exhibit loyalty and ambition to grow in the industry and the company. Many Scosche employees grew up in the industry with the company. Current VP of operations, Pete Butcher began at Scosche in 1983 and is a driving force in the expansion of Scosche’s operations and product through the years. Cary Pritkin who oversees key account sales has been with the company for more than 10 years and is the quintessential account manager able to maintain and grow all of his accounts. Nate Perkins, with an installer background, is now a sales supervisor and has grown the dealer base for Scosche for the past 11 years. Since 1986, Janice Perez has lead Scosche’s design team and often dedicates nights and weekends to meet deadlines for catalogs and packaging. Larry Titsworth has overseen production for Scosche for over 12 years and ensures product is ready and shipping on time. Notable anniversaries this month include Wen Ting, assistant vice president of operations who celebrates her 15th anniversary along with Terri Davis celebrating 10 years and Viviene Tunba marking 17 years in accounting.
“I thank all of our employees for their commitment and hard work,” continued Alves. “They enable Scosche to continue to grow, develop and lead the industry by bringing new technologies to market.”
Steeped in comprehensive vehicle research, led by Jerry Elliot and Steve Grantham, the Scosche team frequently brings specific kits and harnesses to market ahead of the competition. In the last couple years huge innovations have been made with interfaces to remove the stereo, add an aftermarket head-unit and integrate auxiliary product. Scosche engineers, led by Jack DeBiasio, Ted Lopez, Mark Larson and Chris McSweyn, continually unite the latest technology with automotive aftermarket ingenuity.
Scosche’s capabilities to rapidly bring-to-market new technologies are demonstrated by its 55 patents for its innovative product designs. Scosche boasts hundreds of “first-to-market” products; from the first multiple application installation kit that fit 24 vehicles, to a spinning subwoofer grill, to Bluetooth iPod interfaces to its newest product BlueFusion, designed to flawlessly add Bluetooth capabilities to a factory head unit while maintaining factory features. Scosche continues to be on the cutting edge of OEM and aftermarket technology because of the extraordinary team of engineers, designers, and product planners. According to Alves, “systems in OEM vehicles continue to advance, and our team works to keep Scosche on the forefront technology and develop products to seamlessly integrate aftermarket options.”
