Pylon Audio’s Jasper Active Speakers Support WiSA & Apple AirPlay

Made in Poland, Pylon Audio’s high-end wireless speakers support WiSA HT, Apple AirPlay 2, and Chromecast as well as wired XLR.

Pylon Audio Jasper Active WiSA Loudspeakers Front

The wave of innovative high-end audio components and loudspeakers from Eastern Europe continues to get larger with the new Pylon Audio Jasper Active Loudspeakers. Based in Poland, Pylon Audio makes high-end speakers for serious listeners and we are rather enamored with the floating design and beautiful woodwork.

To broaden its customer base, Pylon Audio is expanding its product offerings by adding active speaker variants to its Jasper Series. The active variants have all of the speaker elements and performance of their current passive versions but instead of traditional speaker connectivity, the active versions incorporate built-in amplification, and wireless connectivity that includes WiSA technology

The version of WiSA technology that the Jasper Active Series incorporates is WiSA HT. This supports up to eight channels of HD audio and transmits and receives uncompressed 24-bit 48/96kHz sound over its wireless network, with no perceivable latency.

Pylon Audio Jasper Active WiSA HT Loudspeakers

The WiSA HT Interoperability Certification means the Jasper active speakers can work together seamlessly with other brands of WiSA-certified speakers and hubs.

The Pylon Audio speaker models included in the Jasper active line are the 25 mkII and 23 active floorstanding speakers and Monitor 18 standmount/compact active speakers.

Pylon Audio Stereo Hub

As stated above, the speakers in the Jasper Active series use WiSA – a widely recognized wireless standard in the audio industry that provides lossless sound transmission.

Pylon Audio Stereo Hub

As part of WiSA implementation, the Jasper active line can connect with other WiSA speakers via a provided Stereo Hub.

Audio devices (such as CD players, DACs, TVs, etc) connect to the hub in a traditional wired fashion. The Hub can also receive audio signals from wireless Bluetooth sources. In addition to Bluetooth, the HUB is also Wi-Fi enabled.

As the central receiving point for audio sources, the Hub then transmits the audio it receives wirelessly to the Jasper wireless active speakers using WiSA technology. The rear panel of each Jasper active series speaker includes a panel that indicates its position in your setup and if the speaker has successfully paired to the Hub for its assigned position.

Tip: In addition to the WiSA connectivity between the Stereo Sub and the Jasper Active Speakers, each Jasper active speaker model also incorporates a wired analog XLR input should that be desired or needed.

Pylon Audio App

For ease of setup and use, the Hub is controllable via a Pylon Audio app for iOS and Android.

Wireless Connectivity

Wired Connectivity

Tip: Although the speakers communicate with the Hub wirelessly for audio, the speakers still need to be plugged into AC power because they incorporate their own amplifiers.

    Greetings all ’round…

…When desiring to create something of simple yet lasting (i.e., classic) beauty, it is not so much a matter of putting your mind to it but rather, putting your heart and soul behind that desire.

These speakers speak to the heart and soul in the manner that their makers gave of theirs. Freely.

Thank you for this all too brief look at them. I look forward to more.
