The latest product announcement from Integra is the DTM-7.4 Network Stereo Receiver ($899). This receiver combines exceptional audio fidelity for music lovers with extensive connectivity options for content access. It is functionally identical to the Onkyo TX-8470 Network Stereo Receiver ($799), but adds RS-232 connectivity which allows third-party controls from Control4, Crestron and others, across a whole-home integration system.

Tip: If you don’t need RS-232 connectivity, opt for the Onkyo TX-8470, which costs $100 less.

Core Features

Custom Installation Support The DTM-7.4 is designed and built for smart home installation needs. This stereo receiver features web setup, IP control, RS232, IR in/out, and remote control and diagnostics.

The DTM-7.4 is ideal for zones that do not require surround channels and is specifically designed for easy system integration for installers. Add a full suite of built-in CI integration software tools and compatibility with Control4 SDDP, Crestron, Josh, Savant (and others), and the DTM-7.4 integrates into any home entertainment system.

Tech Note: The DTM-7.4 also comes with a traditional-looking remote control and also provides for voice control via built-in Google (Google Assistant) and Apple (Siri).

Power: The DTM-7.4 incorporates a high-current Class G amplifier that can deliver 110 watts per channel at 8ohms. The Class G amplifier ensures an efficient, accurate reproduction of audio signals throughout the frequency range with a low negative feedback design (NFB) for greater transparency and musicality. For added support, the DTM-7.4 features an AKM Premium 32-bit /768 kHz Stereo 2-channel DAC (Digital to Analog Converter).

Connectivity: Abundant connectivity is included. Wireless options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Wired connectivity includes 4 HDMI inputs with support for HDMI-ARC, 8K/40 Gbps video support, and audio-only Digital Optical (x2) and Digital Coaxial (x1) input connections. Gold-plated speaker terminals and audio-grade capacitors provide clean sound, while carefully selected copper components support a high current drive and minimize vibrations, resulting in superior sound reproduction and a richer listening experience.

Dedicated MM/MC Phono Input: The Integra DTM-7.4 supports vinyl record fans with the inclusion of a dedicated MM/MC Phono input with discrete op amp circuits and isolated circuits that protect from unwanted distortions to improve clarity and audio performance.

AM/FM Tuner and Streaming: For those who enjoy listening to the radio, the DTM-7.4 includes a traditional AM/FM tuner – but it doesn’t stop there. The DTM-7.4 also provides access to key streaming services such as Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, Deezer, TuneIn radio, and Pandora, as well as supporting the Works with Sonos platform and Roon, and multi-room broadcast support via Wi-Fi. Bluetooth, Chromecast built-in, and Airplay provide additional music streaming options.

Two-Channel Listening: The DTM-7.4 is a great choice for consumers who are not interested in multi-speaker surround sound set-ups but want exceptional sound performance for music and movies. Only having to deal with 2-channels, attention is made to optimize audio quality, and, of course, speaker setup is easier.
