Integra has announced its new flagship AVR for 2023, the DRX-8.4

Designed for the custom install (CI) market the DRX 8.4 incorporates a comprehensive feature set including a newly engineered chassis and audio signal path for optimum noise reduction and signal clarity, with support from 32-bit ESS ES9026PRO Hyperstream® audiophile DACs

To better support the custom installation market, the DRX-8.4 is compatible with Control4, Crestron, Save, URC, Elan, and RTI custom installation control systems.  The 8.4 also has a Quad-core network processor for optimum IP responsiveness and stability.

With its 11 channels of amplification and two independent subwoofer outputs, the DRX-8.4 supports 7.2.4 channel speaker setups. The 8.4 also includes two additional wired zone outputs. This allows for Zone 2 and Zone 3 two-channel stereo setups.

The DRX-8.4 also has Dirac Live room correction built-in (License included). This allows users to fine-tune speakers connected to the DRX 8.4 to more accurately match the acoustic environment of the room they are placed in, providing a more well-rounded music listening experience with better accuracy, more prominent sweet spot, more precise voice intelligibility, and deeper, but less boomy bass.

Room Correction Setup can be done via the Dirac PC/MAC app and optional USB mic (Advanced), or via the free Integra Mobile App (iOS, Android) and included wired mic (Basic).

Tip: Dirac Live Bass Control ready (single or multi) as an optional user upgrade

If you have any trouble with the DRX-8.4, an onboard diagnostics tool kit with video test patterns, EDID/HDCP adjustments, and a virtual remote is included that can be used via a web app.

Are you serious $3200 for a flagship receiver like that there’s absolutely nothing in it you shouldn’t call that a flagship you should have called that a mid-range you need to go learn from the other manufacturers that makes high-end receivers and have incredible parts inside them this is nothing but a piece of junk

Are u guys joking. $3200 for this is amazing. Think about it. Denon 4800h over priced, marantz cinema 40 $3500 overpriced. Nad overpriced less outputs less control. Arcam $4200 still not dirac full control overpriced. Onkyo/integra is the only brand right now trying to bring prices down for normal people. Only other brand I would recommend is anthem.

Your not a target customer. Try to find a $1200 part that beats this.

I agree whole heartedly with Stephen Livingstone . Please show me what better at this price point you mention of $1200 . I could be very wealthy with this knowledge you have but refuse to share . There are things on the 8.4 I don’t like but it’s made at a price point like so many things . So far the only thing you have shown us is a lack of knowledge of these products and the extreme genius of the people bringing this one to market

I find it amazing. It opens doors to so many people to enjoy various formats of entertainment at home with very good stated power . Time will tell though . I hope it does well . Competition is needed in this market . As for your opinion LG I have know idea who you are and respect opposing opinions no matter how ridiculously uninformed they may be.

A receiver with XLR preouts should justify the price, because not every one does that.
