Displace’s Flex and Mini Wireless TVs Can Be Mounted Almost Anywhere: CES 2024

The Displace Flex and Mini Wireless TVs utilize a proprietary swappable battery system and can be surface mounted with active-loop vacuum technology.

CES 2024 had a wide range of new TVs from brands like Samsung, LG, Hisense, and others — but one of the most intriguing new products came from a start-up that first caught our attention at CES 2023.

Displace is an in-home entertainment startup that has developed the first truly wireless TV for the consumer market and seems to be attracting a lot of interest after its initial debut at the 2023 CES

What is Displace TV?

The Displace TV uses a 55-inch OLED 4K UHD panel sourced from LG Display that is powered by a proprietary hot-swappable battery system, weighs less than 20 lbs, can be transported easily, and secured to any surface with an extra wall mount required via Displace TV’s proprietary active-loop vacuum technology. Displace TVs are also controllable via hand gestures.

This product design goes beyond LG’s M OLED and OLED-T 4K TVs, which claim to be wireless, as those options still require AC power to be connected by wire to the OLED display panel.

However, both the LG and Displace models do incorporate the use of an external box to wirelessly transmit content to the TV display panel.

To dig deeper into both Displace and LG’s Wireless TV concepts, refer to:
