Canvas L Audiophile Soundbar Heads to High End Vienna 2026 With BACCH 3D+, GaN Power, and 65 to 115 Inch TV Support

CANVAS L brings BACCH 3D+, GaN power, new drivers, and 1,500 watts of peak power to larger 65 to 115 inch TV systems.

Danish audio brand Canvas HiFi is bringing a larger and more ambitious version of its award-winning all-in-one wireless speaker and soundbar to High End Vienna 2026 next week. The new CANVAS L builds on the original Canvas, which earned multiple eCoustics Editors’ Choice and Best in Show honors, with more power, additional speaker drivers, expanded connectivity, an improved BACCH 3D+ algorithm, and TV support from 65 inches up to 115 inches.

The original Canvas was one of the strongest all-in-one speaker bar systems we heard in 2025 because it behaved less like a lifestyle soundbar and more like a serious hi-fi system that happened to live under a television. CANVAS L appears to push that concept further: bigger cabinet, bigger screen compatibility, GaN power supply, and a more ambitious acoustic platform. Bigger does not automatically mean better, but Canvas HiFi has already proven that one box can do more damage than most people expect.

CANVAS L cut-away

Bigger Cabinet, More Power, and BACCH 3D+ for Larger TVs

CANVAS HiFi is calling CANVAS L the world’s first audiophile soundbar, although the original Canvas already made a strong case for that description.

The new model uses a cabinet that is 8.4 inches wider, giving CANVAS HiFi room for a revised driver array. That includes a custom-made 3-inch Scan-Speak midrange driver, 8-inch woofers, an SB Acoustics tweeter module, and an additional pair of 8-inch passive radiators.

CANVAS L is more than a larger version of the original model. The drivers have been reworked, and the amplification is new as well: 2 x 300 watts for the woofers, 2 x 200 watts for the midrange drivers, and 2 x 50 watts for the tweeters. Total peak power is rated at 1,500 watts, supported by a highly efficient GaN power supply with substantial power reserves.

Ultimately, CANVAS L is not just a larger version of the original Canvas. It is an entirely new speaker system with a slightly revised TV mount and grille design that supports TVs from 65 to 115 inches. The original Canvas supported TVs from 55 to 85 inches, and if you happen to be upgrading, the grilles are not interchangeable.

The TV mount and grille system is designed to create a flush, integrated look with a wide range of TVs. Removable wood or fabric grilles help match the width and finish of the installation, while the optional THE HiFi FRAME L provides a fully enclosed appearance for installations using Samsung The Frame TVs.

With CANVAS L, our ambition was to create far more than a conventional TV audio product. We wanted to deliver a true audiophile experience with the emotional engagement, scale and precision of high-end hi-fi — integrated seamlessly into contemporary interior design,” says Laust Nielsen, CEO of CANVAS HiFi.

The Bottom Line

CANVAS L is not just the original Canvas stretched for larger TVs. The wider cabinet, new driver array, more powerful amplification, GaN power supply, expanded TV support from 65 to 115 inches, and improved BACCH 3D+ processing make this a more ambitious all-in-one speaker system.

What remains unique is the way Canvas uses BACCH 3D technology to create a much larger soundstage from a speaker placed directly under the TV. We heard that effect work convincingly with the original Canvas, and CANVAS L appears designed to push the same concept further with more scale, output, and installation flexibility.

What is missing? We still need to hear it. Power ratings, driver changes, and psychoacoustic processing only matter if the final tuning holds together in a real room. Pricing will also decide whether CANVAS L feels like a serious alternative to a high-end soundbar, a compact hi-fi system, or both.

CANVAS L is for listeners who want a cleaner living room setup without giving up on real stereo scale, serious output, and premium industrial design. It is also for buyers with larger TVs who want something more convincing than a conventional soundbar, but do not want loudspeakers, stands, cables, and the domestic negotiations that usually follow.

Pricing & Availability

CANVAS L will have its world premiere on June 4th at High End in Vienna and is expected to be available through authorized CANVAS HiFi retailers in Q4 2026.

Base pricing is expected to be €5,999, which includes front panel, hybrid floor/wall bracket, and universal TV bracket. However, we don’t have final U.S. pricing, which seems like it could be over $10K with customizations. Specific grille covers in fabric or wood finishes can add $500 to $3,000 to the final price, and potentially more for larger widths.
