The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones were one of our favorites in 2022 under $400. Not only do they offer excellent sound quality and comfort, but rather effective ANC performance in a category dominated by Apple, Bose, and Sony. The new Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2e were announced today and we must confess that we were surprised to see the existing pair replaced so quickly. The silver lining is that the price remains the same at $399 which makes them a potential category leader if the improvements are more than just a surface update.
What’s new?
The “e” in the model name stands for “evolved.” Bowers & Wilkins is promising an even better listening experience thanks to an upgraded DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and new sound tuning.
In addition, the Px7 S2e broadens color choices, adding Forest Green to the mix that also includes Anthracite Black, Cloud Gray and Ocean Blue.
What’s the same?
Other than tuning and colors, there are no other changes. Size, weight and design appear to be identical. The Px7 S2e continues to use the same custom-designed 40mm drive units, Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive, and the same hybrid noise cancellation. USB-C and 3.5mm cable connections are also supported, with both cable types included in the carry case that accompanies the product.
The new model retains its slim overall shape, light weight and luxurious memory foam earpads to perfectly encapsulate and cushion your ears for ultimate comfort, however long you are listening.

Flying in the face of the recent ordering of new kitchen appliances, I am going to give these a look. In Forest Green.
I am wide awake, dammit…Having just read that one of my absolute favorite singers has passed away, Roger Whittaker. My older brother will be somewhat devastated by this news.
It is an absolute crime that we age and while nothing softens the reality of time’s swift kick in the ‘nads of life, music can help you remember why we call it a “life” instead of just existing.
