Advanced Media Adds Pro II 80x CompactFlashTM Card to Leading RIDATA Brand Lineup

Ultra-Fast Read/Write Speed Is Perfect for Digital Cameras, PDAs,
MP3s, and Professional Mass-Storage Devices

Diamond Bar, CA — February 22, 2005 — Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, has added an ultra-fast 80x CompactFlash card to its Pro II Series of RIDATA electronic storage products. Using an advanced interface system, the new 80x card is capable of high-performance read speeds of up to 12MB per second and write speeds up to 10MB per second, the fastest CompactFlash speeds on the market.

The solid-state, unformatted Type I card is available in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities. Its very low-power design helps prolong battery life. It features typical flash technology ruggedness, reliability, performance, and convenience. It may be safely used with both 5V and 3.3V devices, as well as with all mass storage compliant card readers, including USB 2.0, USB 1.1, and FireWire units.

The RIDATA Pro II 80x CompactFlash memory card conforms to the CompactFlash Association standard and is compatible with the latest ATA/ATAPI command set standard. It supports 8 or 16-bit host transfers host speed using IORDY.

Advanced Media’s Pro II Series combines electronic storage capabilities for ultra-fast read/write and heavy-use reliability and durability. It is made from the most advanced, high-density memory and controller components. RIDATA products in this category are designed to deliver incredibly fast speeds of at least 80x while transferring even the largest digital files.
