XGIMI MIRA Makes RGB Triple Laser 4K UST Projection More Affordable

Can XGIMI’s $1,529 MIRA keep 4K UST projection relevant as 98-inch TVs get cheaper? RGB triple laser and a 120-inch image make its case.

2026 XGIMI Mira UST Projector Lifestyle

Ultra-short throw projectors occupy a strange corner of the home entertainment market in 2026. Televisions continue to grow larger, brighter, and less expensive, forcing projector manufacturers to offer something more compelling than “a very big picture without a very big box.”

XGIMI is addressing that challenge with MIRA, a new UST projector line built around performance, design, and more aggressive pricing. The first model, simply called the MIRA, is priced at $1,699 and is available now from XGIMI. A brighter MIRA Pro will follow in September 2026 with the same core feature set but a claimed 3,000 ISO lumens of brightness. Pricing for the Pro has not yet been announced.

That positioning matters. The MIRA is not trying to beat a large television on brightness or daytime usability. Its appeal rests on delivering a much larger 4K image from a compact chassis at a price that may give buyers a reason to choose projection rather than another increasingly enormous flat panel display.

The MIRA is an ultra-short-throw 4K projector designed for buyers seeking an affordable, extra-large-screen entertainment solution that does not dominate the room and can easily become part of it. Here are its core features.

Cinema-Grade RGB Triple Laser: The MIRA incorporates RGB triple-laser technology and delivers a claimed 20,000:1 contrast ratio with DBLE, or Dynamic Black Level Enhancement, enabled.

Immersive 4K Projection: The MIRA can project images up to 120 inches with a claimed brightness of 2,000 ISO lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1. It can produce a 120-inch image when positioned just 10.8 inches from the screen, making it suitable for smaller rooms.

Easy Setup: XGIMI’s ISA 5.0 technology for UST projectors improves environmental awareness and setup precision in smaller spaces. The MIRA automatically adjusts image alignment and focus to maintain a clear, properly positioned picture across different viewing distances.

The MIRA can be used with either a projection screen or a blank wall. Image quality may vary depending on the wall color, however, and XGIMI recommends using the wall color adjustment feature in dimly lit environments for the best results.

As an added feature, the MIRA supports XGIMI WALL, which can display artwork from a library of 100 wallpaper designs when the projector is not being used to watch movies or television shows.

Smart Features: The MIRA includes Google TV, providing direct access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and thousands of other streaming apps. This makes it an all-in-one home entertainment solution right out of the box.

Audio: The MIRA incorporates a Harman/Kardon-tuned speaker system delivering 36 watts of total output through two 8-watt speakers and an internal 20-watt subwoofer. It also supports DTS Virtual and Dolby Audio.

For a more substantial listening experience, the MIRA can be connected to an external soundbar or audio system using HDMI ARC, analog audio, or digital optical output.

Room-Friendly Design: Featuring a soft, water-resistant fabric finish in Moonlight Sand color, MIRA’s aesthetic integrates effortlessly into your home.

The Bottom Line

The UST projector category is under growing pressure from increasingly affordable 98-inch and larger televisions. Those TVs deliver higher brightness, deeper black levels, and better daytime performance, but getting a massive sheet of glass through doorways, around corners, and up or down a staircase can turn delivery day into an architectural survey.

A UST projector still makes a strong case in a light-controlled room. It can produce an image larger than most televisions without dominating the space, and owners can change screen sizes later without replacing the projector. A quality ambient-light-rejecting screen remains an additional expense, however, and should be included in the budget from the beginning.

Building on the AURA and AURA 2, the MIRA differentiates itself through its combination of an RGB triple-laser light engine, ISA 5.0 automated setup features, integrated Google TV, and a $1,529 price. None of those features is unique on its own, but finding them together at this price makes the MIRA more interesting.

The MIRA is aimed at movie fans, renters, apartment dwellers, and anyone who wants a 100- to 120-inch image without permanently surrendering an entire wall to an enormous television. Buyers seeking the brightest possible daytime image or the deepest black levels will still be better served by a large TV. For everyone else, the MIRA offers a flexible and relatively affordable path to a genuinely cinematic screen size—provided they leave room in the budget for a proper screen.
