Sonus faber Il Cremonese Ex3me Automobili Lamborghini edition Loudspeakers and Car Angle

Driven by passion and defined by sound, Sonus faber and Lamborghini have teamed up again to prove that Italians simply don’t do half measures. Just as Sonus faber sculpts exquisite sound and Lamborghini carves extreme speed, their collaboration fuses the worlds of high-end audio and luxury automobiles—a trend that’s been gaining traction in recent years with Sonus faber’s partnerships with Maserati, Lamborghini, and other exotic marques.

The result: the Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition, a home audio powerhouse that mirrors the performance, design, and audacious spirit of its automotive counterpart. Limited to just 50 individually numbered pairs, each unit comes with a certificate of authenticity, making it not just a speaker, but a collector’s statement for those who demand the extraordinary.

Sonus faber and Lamborghini: When Italian Audio and Automotive Mastery Converge

Audiophiles know Sonus faber for its meticulous loudspeaker designs and consistently high sound quality. The company has been crafting its iconic speakers in Vicenza, Italy, for more than 40 years. Over the past decade, Sonus faber has increasingly partnered with Italian automakers, bringing its “natural sound” philosophy into high-performance car cabins. Maserati models like the MC20, Grecale, and Granturismo all feature Sonus faber systems, as does the Pagani Huayra hypercar. Chris Boylan spent time in the Grecale, and the Sonus faber system is genuinely impressive—capable of standing up to the Maserati’s throaty engine growl without getting lost in the mix.

The story behind this automotive expansion is straightforward: Italian luxury and performance brands share a focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering an emotional experience. Sonus faber’s reputation for musicality and precision made it a natural fit for these vehicles.

The collaboration on the Lamborghini Revuelto began in 2024, bringing together two of Italy’s most celebrated brands. The Revuelto is now available and features a fully customized version of Sonus faber’s premium automotive audio system, specifically engineered and fine-tuned for the hybrid super sports car.

Both brands represent the pinnacle of Italian craftsmanship and performance—one in audio, one in automotive—which makes the partnership a natural fit. This marks the first Lamborghini model that can be specified with Sonus faber’s inimitable audio system.

The system was developed through the combined efforts of Sonus faber’s R&D and Design team, led by Livio Cucuzza, and Lamborghini’s design department. According to the companies, the audio system immerses the driver in what they call a “symphony of design and sound,” a collaboration only two Italian legacy brands could achieve.

After proving their chemistry in Italian supercars, Sonus faber and Lamborghini now turn their perfectionism toward home audio with the Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition.

Design, Color, and Acoustic Precision

Priced at $130,000 per pair, the Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition begins with a choice of five Lamborghini-inspired finishes, each reflecting the energy and precision of the vehicles that inspired them:

  • Verde Mercurius Shiny – Cut line Red Mars Shiny, Twill carbon fiber Shiny, Corsatex by Dinamica
  • Giallo Countach Shiny – Cut line Nero Nemesis Shiny, Twill carbon fiber Shiny, Corsatex by Dinamica
  • Arancio Egon Shiny – Cut line Nero Nemesis Shiny, Twill carbon fiber Shiny, Corsatex by Dinamica
  • Blu Marinus Matte – Cut line Nero Nemesis Matte, Twill carbon fiber Matte, Corsatex by Dinamica
  • Nero Nemesis Matte – Cut line Bronze Zanas Matte, Twill carbon fiber Matte, Corsatex by Dinamica

The speaker incorporates the same acoustic technologies that define the standard Il Cremonese Ex3me. Every transducer, component, and system is engineered for reference-grade performance, now paired with Lamborghini’s design identity.

The cabinet merges radical design with acoustic considerations. Aerodynamic contours reflect Lamborghini’s silhouettes, while an open-top design exposes the crossover network, echoing the transparent hoods of Lamborghini super sports cars. The Lamborghini Shield emblem is prominently featured on the front, signaling both design intent and brand identity.

The five-sided rhomboid cabinet departs from traditional speaker shapes, crafted to optimize acoustic performance while presenting a distinctive visual statement.

Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition

The Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition is a 3.5-way, full para-aperiodic vented system designed for reference-grade performance in both sound and design. Its driver configuration is engineered to deliver precise, dynamic, and extended-range reproduction.

At the top, a 30 mm Diamond-Like Carbon Beryllium dome tweeter ensures crisp, detailed highs. Midrange duties are handled by a 180 mm driver with a neodymium magnet system, providing clarity and speed in the critical vocal and instrument range. Low-frequency reproduction comes from dual 180 mm woofers and dual 220 mm honeycomb long-throw subwoofers constructed from Nanocarbon Fiber/Nomex, combining stiffness and lightness for tight, controlled bass.

Crossover points are set at 80, 250, and 2,500 Hz, optimizing integration between drivers. All components are premium, high-end units chosen for minimal distortion, low resonance, and exceptional reliability. The system achieves a frequency response from 25 Hz to 35 kHz, with a sensitivity of 92 dB SPL (2.83 V/1 m) and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, compatible with amplifiers from 100 W up to 800 W of clean, undistorted power.

The cabinet, a five-sided rhomboidal diamond shape, combines acoustic engineering with Lamborghini-inspired design. Finished in carbon fiber, Lamborghini paint, and Corsatex by Dinamica, with black aluminum accents, it merges performance-driven structure with visual impact.

The Bottom Line

The Sonus faber x Lamborghini collaboration isn’t just an exercise in Italian bravado—it’s a precision-built fusion of acoustic engineering and automotive tech. Every driver, crossover, and cabinet is tuned with the same obsessive accuracy you’d expect from a V12 tachometer, delivering sound that’s as exacting as it is exhilarating. At well over $100K a pair, it’s aimed squarely at the luxury car audio enthusiast who doesn’t blink at parking a second supercar’s worth of speakers in their living room.

    Wow!

In comparison to this I can now lay claim to being able to afford either a 2025 Mustang Dark Horse (w/GimpoMatic Transmission!!) with 500 HP or a 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Sixpack with 550 HP!

The stereo in either one will suffice for such as I…And then…I…was awakened by reality! If I had that kind of money I would put both cars in my driveway over a pair of speakers even tho’ this pair is quite a pair! Team America! **** YEAH!

    Dammmit!
