Russound, a leading developer and manufacturer in the residential entertainment space, with an emphasis on custom install audio components and speakers, is showing off a new selection of multichannel digital amplifiers at ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) 2023, held from January 31 through February 3 in Barcelona, Spain.
The New D-Series Models
Although full details have not been provided, the new amplifier series includes the following new models:
D860 (8 channels)
D1260 (12 channels)
D1660 (16 channels).
Building on the foundation of previous models, these new entries are designed to provide accurate, full-range sound across multiple zones, with a new industrial design and sleek, slimmer chassis. Russound elevates its all-digital architecture to a new performance level with higher power output for better performance in larger rooms and spaces
Although detailed specifications haven’t been released, Russound has revealed that in addition to their revamped design they also incorporate the following:
- Low and high pass filters (crossovers). This allows any channel to use with a passive subwoofer.
- All three amplifiers are rack-mountable with Bus and Direct input options.
- Power ratings for all three amplifiers are 65 wpc @8 ohms, 95 wpc @4 ohms, and 190 wpc @8 ohms (in bridged mode).
- The D860 and D1260 measure 1U (1.75 inches high). The D1660 measures 2U (3.5 inches high).

Availability
The D860, D1260, and D1660 are expected to become available and ship in Q3 2023 (Fall) through authorized Russound Brick and Mortar and Online Dealers. Also stay tuned for more features, specifications, and pricing details
