WiSA Certified & Tuned by THX
Platin Audio just introduced the Tuned by THX™ Monaco 3.1 Wireless Home Audio System for $699. The package includes three individual speakers and a subwoofer. All are wireless and stay connected via included Axiim LINK Wireless Audio Transmitter which requires connection to a WiSA Ready* TV (currently only 2019-2020 LG TVs**). WiSA Ready compatible devices currently only include late model LG OLED TV, LG NanoCell TV, Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. So without one of the aforementioned products, sadly the Platin Audio wireless speaker system won’t work.
In addition, Platin Audio offers a Monaco 5.1 speaker system which adds two wireless surround sound speakers for only $100 more. It was released late last year. Both systems use the same satellite speakers, center channel and subwoofer.
Because all speakers are wireless, setup should be super simple. Just plugin each speaker to a wall power outlet, plug the Axiim Link into the TV’s USB port and then use the Axiim LINK mobile app to make sure they’re all connected. The app also provides users with enhanced tuning features such as preset and user adjustable equalization and speaker trim.
The Monaco wireless speakers have been Tuned by THX to deliver an improved audio experience. THX has worked with Summit Wireless and WiSA engineers to create a set of high-accuracy filters and functionality within the Rx (wireless receiver) modules to provide the manufacturer with advanced loudspeaker tuning capabilities.
All WiSA Ready and WiSA Certified components work together seamlessly to deliver wireless, multi-channel audio capabilities and authentic concert and theater-quality sound that dramatically increases the enjoyment of movies and video, music, sports, gaming/esports, and more. As a result, consumers can expect a reliable and superior experience without a complicated setup or running speaker wires around the room. Plus, any WiSA Certified wireless speakers can be used interchangeably or added later, such as from Klipsch or Enclave. The included Axiim Link WiSA Transmitter, which is also sold separately for $229, supports up to 5.1 surround sound when connected to LG TVs and up to 7.1 when connected to Xbox One.
