The TX1080 Offers Best–In-Class Performance for Corporate, Commercial and Home Theater Applications

Optoma Technology Inc., the award-winning manufacturer of digital projection and display devices, has introduced the all-new TX1080 Multimedia Projector. The DLP-based projector combines an ultra-bright lamp with true high definition 1080p resolution for a unique crossover display device. With its superior brightness, native HD resolution, full complement of connectivity options, and the ability to control the projector directly via a network connection, the TX1080 provides best-in-class performance for the most highly detailed presentations, video conferencing and even home theater use.

“The TX1080 is a true crossover product without compromise, offering the same performance as projectors costing twice as much,” said Jon Grodem, Optoma’s director of marketing and product. “It fulfills the most demanding requirement of business and corporate users, so much so, we would not hesitate to recommend the TX1080 for home theater installations as well.”

The TX1080 features Texas Instrument’s DarkChip DLP chipset and BrilliantColor™ technologies, and combines true HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with an ultra-bright 3700 lumen lamp and a 2200:1 contrast ratio to deliver superior performance in both data and home theater applications.

The TX1080 also offers corporate and commercial users complete network management capability, and the projector can be operated directly through the control panel which is opened in an internet browser on a network connected PC. In fact, from the control panel the settings can be configured for all projectors throughout the network. Extensive connectivity options, such as DVI, VGA, S-Video, composite, RS-232, USB and RJ45 provide connectivity to just about all possible data and video sources, making TX1080 the perfect solution for almost any corporate or home theater application.
