Sylmar, CA — 3/30/2006 Custom A/V installers know and understand the necessity of source components that are designed to integrate with multi-zone systems. They recognize the necessity of having music sources that can deliver multiple streams of audio. They also understand the need for positive control via RS232 commands, along with the ability to deliver feedback information to a remote keypad location. Needless to say, these must be rugged, high quality components for a bulletproof installation.
Xantech Corporation has been at the forefront of innovation in multi-room A/V products for over 35 years. As a manufacturer of multi zone products they understand what it takes to create a system that will perform flawlessly. With the new XMUSIC Digital Music Server and XDT Dual AM/FM tuner, Xantech has introduced source components that unleash the true potential of a multi-zone system, such as their MRC88CTL eight-source, eight-zone A/V distribution system, or the audio-only version of this system, the MRAUDIO8X8CTL.
The Xantech XMUSIC digital music server is capable of delivering four different songs to four different rooms at the same time. Its 160GB hard drive is capable of storing up to 2,800 hours of music, while easily varied compression rates allow music to be recorded at the optimal quality.
Loading music into the XMUSIC is quick and easy, with 20x ripping speed, and the built-in modem and Ethernet connection mean that the XMUSIC can access song information and album artwork via the internet.
It’s simple to organize and access music with the XMUSIC. Music can be organized by song title, album, artist name, or genre, and custom playlists can easily be created. The XMUSIC is compatible with Apple iTunes and Windows Media Player, so music can be transferred to a portable MP3 player easily via a home network.
With song feedback information that be sent to a television monitor or the Xantech SPLCD64V SmartPad LCD, source information is readily available for ease of control.
The Xantech XDT Dual AM/FM tuner simplifies the task of adding a radio source to a multi zone system. The XDT features dual high-quality, independently controlled AM/FM tuners with 120 customizable presets. RS232 serial control ensures positive control and enables tuner feedback display with Xantech SPLCD SmartPad LCD touchscreen controllers and MRC88 keypads, so the user can see what’s playing at a glance. The simple operation and long list of features make the XDT Dual AM/FM Tuner the perfect addition to virtually any multi zone system.
XMUSIC is currently shipping to dealers, and has a list price of $4580.00. The XDT Dual AM/FM tuner, currently shipping to dealers, has a list price of $750.00.
