Denon announced the DNP-720AE Network Audio Player equipped with Apple AirPlay technology that enables wireless audio streaming from iPod, iPhone, iPad or your iTunes music library. Over its Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection users can enjoy a wide variety of internet radio, online digital content (including Napster and Last.FM) or network music files in their listening room.

Thanks to the DLNA 1.5 compatibility, Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices can also be swiftly accessed to get the best sonic performance from the user’s favourite tunes. The sound tuning is based on Denon’s renowned “simple & straight” circuit design with minimum signal paths, to optimise performance. Strictly selected components have been used throughout, including a high quality 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analogue audio converter.

For easy operation, the audioplayer has a flexible user interface enabling easy browsing in a variety of ways — through the three line OLED display, the remote handset, or an ‘iDevice’ using the Denon Remote App. Three quick-select buttons offer fast access to favourite internet radio stations. The front USB port offers further playback options, such as direct digital transmission from iDevices or other attached USB mass storage devices. The DNP- 720AE is also Windows 7 certified for ‘Play To, meaning you can easily stream music files from Windows Media Player 12 or higher to the stereo system.
