Bang & Olufsen Beovision Contour 55-Inch OLED TV is $7,750

The Bang & Olufsen Beovision Contour is more speaker than TV. It just happens to include LG’s state-of-the-art OLED 4K panel in a stunning design.

Bang & Olufsen Contour OLED 4K TV Light Oak on Wall

Bang & Olufsen have collaborated with LG Electronics to introduce a super sleek 55-inch OLED TV. Priced from $7750 to $9200 depending on the finish and stand, this TV is certainly not for most people. And yes, that’s not a typo. There is an an extra zero in the price. And it’s 4K, not 8K.

Previously only available in a 48-inch screen size, the new Beovision Contour 55″ OLED TV comes equipped with the latest-generation technology from LG, which is even brighter than before. State-of-the-art picture quality is just one reason to buy this TV, although it’s the sound quality and jaw dropping aesthetics that are the main draw. Embedded below the TV is a Bang & Olufsen active speaker system. I’m hesitant to call it a built-in soundbar, although that’s the easiest way to describe it.

Behind the Beovision Contour grille cover are 11 powerful speaker drivers and amplifiers. It also includes 4 x 4-inch bass drivers custom designed to allow bigger cone movement which provides improved bass performance down to 32 Hz.

Beovision Contour has been created to conceal unnecessary clutter whilst revealing timeless design elements and natural materials to complement any home interior. Choose from three colourways available in Silver, Black Anthracite and a beautiful Gold Tone, with matching fabric or wood veneer finishes for the speaker front cover. All cables are routed through the center rear of the TV and hidden from view, offering a holistic 360-degree design. All integrated sources can be conveniently controlled by the Beoremote One, a remote crafted from a single, extruded piece of aluminium.

Evolved from Bang & Olufsen’s design language and designed in collaboration with Torsten Valeur, Beovision Contour is classic and minimalist. The magnificent aluminium frame that outlines the screen showcases Bang & Olufsen’s unrivalled expertise in aluminium manufacturing at Factory 5 in Struer, Denmark.

Three stand options have been designed as an integrated element of Beovision Contour to create its minimalist appearance. The aluminium floor stand can be manually turned 180 degrees either side to ensure the best viewing experience and has a light and modern aesthetic. Beovision Contour can also be mounted on the wall using Bang & Olufsen’s wall bracket that has been engineered so the TV can be moved at an angle to suit any viewing arrangement. Bang & Olufsen have also created a tabletop stand made from a solid, rectangular aluminium billet to ensure that the TV can be placed on a shelf or floor.
