Origin Acoustics Acquires Ambisonic Systems

Origin Acoustics is looking to the future with the announcement that it has acquired Ambisonic Systems expanding its loudspeaker presence.

Ambisonic Systems LSR6 Outdoor Speaker

Origin Acoustics, the leading manufacturer of architectural audio and the worldwide distributor of Ambisonic Systems, has announced the acquisition of Ambisonic Systems.

Arizona-based Ambisonic Systems is a leading manufacturer of performance luxury pro and residential loudspeaker systems, and was founded in 2009 by industry pioneer Jeffery Coombs. Ambisonic Systems specializes in high-output, audiophile-quality sound reinforcement loudspeakers.

With over 64 years of experience in designing professional and high-end loudspeakers — specializing in ribbon-line arrays — the company’s engineering team is known for its innovative concepts, breakthrough products and great-sounding speakers.

Ambisonic Systems has spent years producing Pro Audio gear for the world’s most exquisite venues and theaters. They’ve taken the best of the lessons learned in that industry, their heritage of designing world-class systems, and distilled it into their first residential speaker, the Landscape Ribbon Six. The unique and compelling LS6 landscape loudspeaker (pictured) touts a proprietary weatherized high-dispersion ribbon tweeter, 2.7” magnetic planar tweeter, exotic materials and more.

The full range of Ambisonic Systems high-performance loudspeakers includes a vast line of outdoor audio solutions for any situation or location. Custom Outdoor Soundbars, Weatherized Line-Arrays, Triple-Bandpass Burial Subwoofers, and more.

Nick Berry, CEO of Origin Acoustics, said “The opportunity to work with Jeff Coombs and his team as their global distributor was an eye-opener for how truly unique their products are. It opened the door for us to add Ambisonic Systems to our portfolio. Our leadership, sales teams and dealers are elated.”

The Ambisonic Systems factory will remain in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
