Building on the 115-inch Micro RGB TV introduced earlier in 2025, Samsung is using CES 2026 to signal a broader rollout of the technology rather than a single showcase model. The company will present an expanded Micro RGB lineup that adds more conventional screen sizes—55, 65, 75, 85, and 100 inches—alongside the existing 115-inch display. Samsung is also pointing to a series of new technical enhancements focused on improving color accuracy and overall image clarity, suggesting a more deliberate effort to refine picture performance as Micro RGB moves beyond its initial debut.
“With Samsung’s latest technology, our Micro RGB portfolio delivers vivid color and clarity that make movies, sports, and TV shows feel more expressive and engaging,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “By expanding the lineup for 2026, we’re establishing a new premium category with sizes that span the full range of modern living spaces while maintaining our highest picture standards.”
Samsung’s Approach to Micro RGB LED TV Technology
Samsung’s Micro RGB technology is built around sub-100-micron red, green, and blue LEDs that emit light independently, rather than relying on a white backlight with color filters. This approach allows for more precise light control and improved color accuracy at the pixel level. Samsung pairs the hardware with additional picture-processing tools, including 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro, which work in real time to refine brightness, motion handling, and overall image clarity across a wide range of content.

AI Engine Pro: Powering Samsung’s Micro RGB Picture Processing
To support more precise, frame-by-frame image refinement, Samsung’s Micro RGB AI Engine Pro is powered by a next-generation AI chipset. The platform also incorporates Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro, which work together to enhance color depth, brightness control, and tonal balance, resulting in images that appear more vivid while maintaining a more natural overall presentation.
Micro RGB Precision Color 100
Samsung’s Micro RGB Precision Color 100 features a refined Micro RGB light source with improved RGB color dimming precision, allowing for more accurate color expression across a wide range of content. Certified by VDE, Micro RGB Precision Color 100 supports 100% of the BT.2020 wide color gamut, reinforcing Samsung’s emphasis on color accuracy at the premium end of its TV lineup.
Upgraded Vision AI Companion
Vision AI Companion is Samsung’s platform that combines large language model (LLM)–powered intelligence with natural, conversational interaction through Bixby. The system supports conversational search and interactive Q&A, delivers proactive content recommendations, and provides access to AI-driven features and apps including Live Translate, Generative Wallpaper, and Perplexity.
Glare Free
Samsung is expanding its use of Glare Free screen technology by including it on select Micro RGB models. The feature is designed to reduce on-screen reflections without compromising image quality, helping to maintain contrast and color integrity. This approach improves real-world viewing conditions for users who don’t have full control over ambient lighting in their viewing environments.
Enhanced audio features

All new Micro RGB models support Dolby Atmos for multidimensional audio, Adaptive Sound Pro for optimizing clarity based on both room acoustics and content type, and Q-Symphony, which integrates the TV’s speakers with compatible Samsung audio products to create a larger, more cohesive soundstage. In addition, all 2026 Samsung TVs include Eclipsa Audio, offering another immersive listening option across the lineup.
The Bottom Line
With CES 2026 approaching, Samsung is clearly positioning Micro RGB as a long-term pillar rather than a single high-end experiment, expanding screen sizes and refining performance as rivals like Hisense, TCL, and LG introduce their own MiniLED RGB and Micro RGB approaches. That said, the category is still young—and potentially confusing—for consumers, especially with pricing likely to remain firmly in premium territory early on.
This isn’t Micro LED, and that distinction will matter as shoppers try to sort signal from noise. Whether Micro RGB gains real traction or lingers as an enthusiast-only option will depend on how quickly prices normalize and how clearly manufacturers communicate the benefits. Either way, 2026 is shaping up to be a direct showdown, with Samsung leading the charge and the rest of the field—and possibly Panasonic and Sony—deciding how aggressively they want to respond.

Pricing & Availability
Additional feature details and specifications, actual model numbers, availability, and pricing for Samsung’s 2026 Micro RGB LED TVs have yet to be revealed, hopefully during or shortly after CES 2026.
At CES 2026, Samsung will be showing the new TV product line at their exhibit in the Wynn and Encore hotels in Las Vegas from January 6 through 9th.
