Matrix Audio announced the QUBE pocket friendly speaker for sound on the go with smartphones, tablets or laptops. The 3-watt speaker connects to the headphone jack of the aforementioned devices, and includes a built-in rechargeable battery for up to 12 hours of continuous listening. The speaker is recharged via USB.
The QUBE speakers contains a 36mm driver, which is about the size of a golf ball. The 1.5″ tall QUBE comes in a full-anodized aluminum frame, and is available in silver, black or red.

The Matrix Audio QUBE will be available late-January 2013 for $49.99.
