Portugal-based Innuos was well represented at AXPONA 2026, bringing multiple models from its music streamer and server lineup to Chicago rather than focusing on a single product. That broader presence made it easier to see how the company is structuring its digital front end range from upper-tier to flagship.
At the top is the Nazaré, introduced in 2025 and named after the Portuguese submarine canyon known for its massive waves. It sits as Innuos’s flagship streamer/server system, designed to prioritize signal integrity and a more natural, less processed presentation.
But the more interesting story at the show might have been happening one tier below. The Innuos ZENith NG streamer (starting at $21,700 before storage) was used as the primary source in the ATC EL50 Anniversary Active Loudspeakers system, and across the team there wasn’t much debate; it delivered some of the best digital streaming we heard at AXPONA 2026, or frankly, at any show in recent memory.
Which raises an obvious question. If the ZENith NG is already operating at that level, what exactly is the Nazaré, a system priced at more than double that amount, bringing to the table? That’s the wave Innuos is betting on.

Innuos Nazaré System Components
The Nazaré is a three-component system, which replaces the Statement Next-Gen as the top-tier model in the Innuos lineup.. Each unit can operate on its own, but it’s clearly intended to be used as a complete stack for the best overall performance.
Nazaré Server/Streamer: This is the core of the Nazaré system, built around a customized PreciseAudio mainboard with a 10-core performance CPU and support for up to 16TB of internal SSD storage; which is well beyond what most users will ever need unless they’re sitting on thousands of ripped CDs and downloaded albums alongside their streaming libraries.
The Streamer/Server supports all major streaming services, including MQA, with optional Roon integration. It also handles local playback from NAS drives and USB sources, and can rip CDs directly to external USB storage using an optional USB CD drive for those still building or maintaining a physical library.

NazaréFLOW: This unit serves as a dedicated high-performance output stage and USB reclocker, focusing on precise signal timing while offering modular outputs tailored to specific DAC interfaces (such as MSB ProISL).
The NazaréFLOW isolates the DAC connection from the streamer/server electronics by regenerating the signal in both timing and power domains. This is handled by a Master Reclocker Circuit that acts as a single reference clock for all digital data communication.
The NazaréFLOW also incorporates Innuos-designed modular DAC outputs that interface directly with the internal protocols of select DACs, including MSB and CH Precision, with additional options planned. This approach reduces the processing load on the DAC itself by handling more of the signal management upstream.

NazaréNET: This is an audiophile network switch designed to regenerate and clean the network signal before it enters the server.
The NazaréNET is designed to deliver a cleaner, more precisely timed network signal to high-end music streamers and servers, building on the foundation of the earlier PhoenixNET. It introduces a revised internal circuit, upgraded power supply architecture, and a vibration-controlled chassis shared across the Nazaré platform.
With one SFP fiber port and four RJ45 connections, the NazaréNET enables network isolation from upstream routers and incorporates traffic management to limit unnecessary data activity before it reaches the audio system.
Additional Highlights
Power Supply: The power supply employs innovative GaN-based active rectification (using GaN-ARC8 modules) with 752,000µF of capacitance to ensure an extremely low noise floor.
Vibration Control: The Nazare employs SmartStack technology developed with TONEO. This dampens vibrations for critical internal components such as transformers and capacitors.
Chassis Design: The Nazare system features asymmetric, CNC-machined aluminum enclosures with a ceramic coating designed to dissipate standing waves and reduce structural resonance.
Software Integration/Sense App: The Innuos Sense app (Sense 3.3 or later) manages local libraries and integrates directly with services like Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify, and other platforms.

The Bottom Line
Innuos isn’t trying to compete across the entire market with the Nazaré; it’s planting a flag at the very top and daring anyone else to match it. The three-box architecture, modular DAC interfaces, reclocking strategy, and network isolation approach all point in the same direction: reduce as much noise, timing error, and system dependency as possible before the signal ever reaches your DAC.
What’s missing? Not much in terms of digital front-end ambition but it’s still just a source. You’ll need a high-end DAC, and realistically, a system to match. That means this isn’t a standalone solution; it’s one piece in a chain that likely runs well into six figures. And at this level, expectations are different.
The competitive set is small. MSB Technology belongs on that short list, along with a handful of ultra high-end server/streamer solutions that most listeners will never encounter in person. This isn’t a space where WiiM, Cambridge Audio, Eversolo, Shanling, or Bluesound are even in the same conversation and that’s not a knock on those products. It’s just reality. Different league, different expectations.
Editor-in-Chief Ian White spent time with the Nazaré system at AXPONA 2026, but also heard the ZENith NG anchoring the ATC EL50 Anniversary Active Loudspeakers room. His takeaway was pretty clear. The Nazaré is more advanced from a technical standpoint, but the buyer for that system is almost certainly building around it with equally ambitious amplification and speakers, which isn’t meant to diminish the ATC system, one of the five best-sounding rooms at the show despite competing against 30+ setups that were far more expensive.
The ZENith NG, while still requiring an external DAC, gets remarkably close. Call it 90% of the way there and it already outperforms most high-end digital sources we’ve encountered. For anyone asking how it compares to sub-$2,000 streamers: it doesn’t. That gap is real, and it’s obvious the moment you hear it.
Would we buy the Nazaré? Sure. Right after we stop needing food, shelter, and other annoying luxuries. The Nazaré borders on overkill, but that does not make it irrelevant. It shows what is possible when cost is no longer the primary constraint and every part of the digital playback chain is treated like it matters.
The larger issue is competition. Products like the Innuos ZENith NG already make a very serious case for state of the art digital playback in 2026, and they do it without requiring the buyer to explain the purchase to a spouse, banker, or clergy member. But if anyone is making a credible claim for the top of the digital audio mountain right now, Nazaré belongs in that conversation.
Take that, fancy Swiss and German guys.
