BROADVIEW, IL (7/12/05) — Blaupunkt has introduced two new subwoofers and four component speaker systems in its Thin Line loudspeaker series, delivering high-end performance in situations where there there is no room for full size speakers and subwoofers. All these models are now available at Baupunkt dealers.

THw1200 12-inch subwoofer

The Thin Line THw subwoofers are available in 10 and 12 inch sizes. Each features a mounting depth of just 2-1/2 inches, making them suitable for installation in vehicle doors, tailgates, or even under seats. These models allow consumers to enjoy powerful bass reproduction in installations that could never be accomplished with conventional cone subwoofers.

Each Thin Line THc component system woofer incorporates Blaupunkt’s exclusive Fringe Field technology, originally developed for the company’s flagship OverDrive speaker line. This proprietary engineering and design technique employs an innovative magnet and voice coil arrangement, reducing mounting depth by an inch or more and cutting weight in half, making these speakers ideal for difficult installations.
