BDI, a furniture designer and manufacturer of office, bedroom, and entertainment furniture has announced the first entries in its Profile Media + Storage Collection. These entries are designed by Matthew Weatherly.
The BDI Profile Collection is available in a taller three-door and lower four-door design, with two finish options — washed ask (light) or toasted oak (dark). The collection is designed to house a complete media center or storage of items of your choice. BDI Profile combines a pleasing visual aesthetic while offering a variety of functional features inside.
With a hardwood slatted-door design, BDI Profile keeps contents out of sight while offering acoustic transparency that allows sound, heat, and remote signals to pass through easily.
The two models include the Profile 8477 (three door) or Profile 8479 (four door) media consoles.
BDI Profile 8477
BDI Profile 8477 is a three-door design that measures 30 x 61.75 x 20 inches (HxWxD) and has four adjustable shelves that can house 6-9 components. It’s wide enough to support up to 65-inch TVs.
BDI Profile 8479
BDI Profile 8479 is a four-door design that measures 23.5 x 81.75 x 20 inches (HxWxD). It’s designed for a more robust home theater setup. The cabinet has three adjustable shelves that can house 5-8 components including a soundbar or center channel speaker, while supporting up to 85-inch TVs.
Features
- Adjustable Shelves: The 8477 Console and 8479 Cabinet both feature adjustable tempered glass shelves that are great for placing soundbars and other media equipment or for other storage needs. Threaded inserts allow repositioning whenever needs change.
- Ventilation: Additional ventilation features built into the lower shelf and back panels help keep components inside cool.
- Wire Management: The included integrated wire management features, such as cable wraps, routes cables cords bundled and hidden from sight.
- The Plinth: The low-profile rolling plinth base allows for easy placement of the cabinet, while an internal leveling system helps account for uneven flooring.
- Rear Panels: The included removable rear panels allow access to cables and connections.
- No Rattling: Soft-close cabinet doors are provided to ensure the components and media won’t shake or rattle.
- TV Safety: The products include a TV safety strap to prevent tip-overs.
- Finish Options: The Profile Collection is available in a warm Toasted Oak finish or BDI’s new lighter-Washed Oak finish, making it ideal for any space
Initial Impressions
