The co-developed Apogee and Sennheiser AMBEO SMART HEADSET for iPhone or iPad lets you create videos with an immersive, life-like 3D sound that places the viewer at the heart of the moment. The $300 headset with lighting connector also offers a high fidelity listening experience with Active Noise Cancellation to block or blend sound around you.
Built-in mics enable the Transparent Hearing feature to let you hear outside sounds to create the perfect balance between your surroundings and your music. This is ideal for bikers, walkers, joggers and anyone else who wants to be aware of what is going on around them without removing their headphones.
The two earpiece microphones, spaced at perfect binaural width by the listener’s head, capture the subtle differences in timing, volume and timbre that occur as sounds from different directions reach each ear. When played back on any pair of headphones, the recorded audio simulates the way sounds are heard naturally by the ears, recreating a lifelike high-fidelity audio experience that places the listener directly within the captured sound field. The effect can convincingly transport the listener to any locale, from a bustling city block to a secluded spot in the wilderness, and is a powerful complement to high-definition video.
Use AMBEO SMART HEADSET when recording videos using the iOS Camera App to add 3D immersive sound that places the listener inside the soundscape of the location. Listening back to the recordings created with AMBEO SMART HEADSET through any stereo headphones will immerse you in stunning 3D sound, replicating the spatial direction and the feeling of the original experience.
The AMBEO SMART HEADSET also features a Situational Awareness control that lets users choose the level of ambient noise they want to perceive. Using the headset’s rocker switch, they can either select the Transparent Hearing feature which makes the ambient noise fade into their personal program and keeps them safe in traffic, or deploy the active noise cancellation to enjoy their entertainment without any distractions. The Situational Awareness feature can also be used when recording and when making a call and can be turned off when not needed.

Pricing and Availability
A new all-black version of AMBEO SMART HEADSET is exclusively available on Apple.com and in Apple Stores for $299. The white version remains available elsewhere for $299 that was released Q2 2017.
