Podcast: Kevin Gray Reveals Vinyl Mastering Secrets About Buckingham Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors and more!

Kevin Gray of Cohearent Audio reveals how he re-masters vinyl albums from the original tapes, plus reissues that almost didn’t happen.

All-analog vinyl mastering engineer legend, Kevin Gray from Cohearent Audio joins the Podcast to discuss some his latest vinyl record reissues with eCoustics contributors and Instagram hi-fi influencers, Eric Pye (@audioloveyyc) and Jeremy Sikora (@budget_audiophiler) along with host/producer Mitch Anderson.

After decades in the vault, Buckingham Nicks is finally getting a high fidelity vinyl reissue. Find out why this cult classic vanished, why it’s back now, and what it means for fans who’ve been chasing scratched LPs for years. Along the way, we get into the bigger picture—the state of the audiophile vinyl reissue market, the future of vinyl cutting, and why Fleetwood Mac drama still drives the mythology around this record. Chaos may have fueled the Mac, but this one’s all about clarity.
