Platin Monaco 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos Wireless Speaker System: $789 (Prime Day Big Deal)

Looking for real discrete immersive surround sound without speaker wires? Check out this limited time deal on Platin’s 5.1.2 wireless speaker system.

Platin Monaco 5.1.2. WiSA Wireless Dolby Atmos Home Theater Speaker System

As Robert Silva and I covered at CEDIA Expo, WiSA Technologies has made some significant advancements in wireless speaker technology. Most wireless speakers are limited to stereo pairs, but WiSA developed a system for eight fully wireless speaker channels. This means you can get real Dolby Atmos or DTS:X 5.1.2-channel sound in your living room or home theater without the need for any speaker wires. And the way to do that is with the Platin Monaco 5.1.2 speaker system.

And now is a great time to pick up the Platin wireless speaker system as it’s on sale today as part of Amazon’s “Prime Big Deals” event for $789.00. That’s $210 off its usual (already discounted) price. Here’s the deal link:

> Platin Monaco 5.1.2 System for $789 (Save $210) – Prime Customers Only

Note: the price will only show up if you are an Amazon Prime customer. If you’re not and are interested in getting this deal, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime.

Don’t fret if your TV doesn’t have the necessary wireless transmitter – the Platin system comes with WiSA’s SoundSend dongle. It plugs into your TV’s ARC (Audio Return Channel) or eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) output and transmits all eight channels directly to the speakers.

Platin’s Monaco 5.1.2 system can do discrete 5.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound without speaker wires.

The Platin Monaco 5.1.2 system includes four satellite speakers: two for front left and right, two for rear left and right, one center channel speaker and a slim powered subwoofer that can be placed under a chair, couch or planter. The front left and right speakers include an upward-firing Dolby elevation module so the height channels will bounce off your ceiling and into your ears. The system also comes with a WiSA SoundSense dongle that plugs into any TV’s ARC or eARC output. Note: for Dolby Atmos or DTS:X 5.1.2-channel sound you will need an eARC output. The system also supports the older ARC platform for regular Dolby 5.1 surround (no height channels).

While we haven’t done a formal review of the Platin system, Rober and I have heard them multiple times at shows and briefings and found they offered punchy immersive surround sound which trounces any TV’s built-in sound. If you’re looking for a fully wireless solution, this is a good one. Note: the speakers do each require a power cord in order to power their internal amplifiers so keep this in mind when considering where to place them.
