Wolverine Data has introduced a $200 rugged wireless speaker system that incorporates both standard 5.8 Ghz wireless and Bluetooth technology. The new WIOS-5.8 portable speakers work flawlessly in any environment, indoor or out.
While it comes standard with two 10-watt speakers, the WIOS-5.8 system is expandable; up to six additional speakers can easily fill a room or patio with virtual stereo sound. Users can control the transmitter from a distance with the included remote control. Furthermore, with the WIOS-5.8 you can also attach an optional Wireless Receiver box where you can add your existing Sound System or amplified speakers into the WIOS-5.8 wireless sound system.
With both battery and AC power functionality, the WIOS-5.8 embodies portability. Each speaker features a flip-up carry handle. What really makes them portable, however, is their wireless capability. Wired speakers are inevitably fixed – sometimes even requiring holes to be drilled in walls. The WIOS-5.8 offers the same fidelity of sound without the hassle of wires. Moreover, because it’s weather resistant, owners who want to enjoy stereo sound by the pool or on the boat need not worry about moisture wrecking the party.
The WIOS-5.8 system compatible with all major smartphones, MP3 players, stereo receivers, TVs and PCs. Furthermore, the transmitter has an integrated Bluetooth receiver so that any Bluetooth-capable device can establish a connection, making for a 100% wireless experience.
Wolverine Data WIOS-5.8 is available now for $199.
