Xantech Dragon 2.1 Software Announced

Improvements Enhance Dragon’s Ease of Use

Sylmar, Calif. — October 2, 2007 — Xantech Corporation’s new Dragon 2.1 will allow dealers and programmers with little or no experience using software to quickly configure sophisticated control and distribution devices and systems, making Xantech Corporation’s products much more accessible than ever to dealers and programmers.

Universal Dragon is the heart of the Xantech Control System. Dragon 2.1 was developed after research concluded there was a significant commonality in a majority of installations. Dragon 2.1 comes with Default templates to enhance the programming experience by consisting of several, well-utilized source pages that are pre-programmed. After selecting a template, users can then utilize Auto-Fill to build their projects faster.

The new features integrated into the latest downloadable release of Dragon 2.1 software include:
• Auto-Build Wizard
• Import/Export a source button and the page they point to
• Rewritten Palette Editor; Uses a faster relational database
• Default template support for different base units
• HEX-IR support for XTR39, SPLCD, MRC44/88 (requires firmware update)
• Source overview window for SPLCD and XTR39 projects
• Creation of a new project made easier with logical-UI (user interface)
• Ability to resize the base unit allowing easier multi-tasking

“The unification and integration of our Xantech programming software has required and will continue to require significant ongoing investment in Dragon,” said Graham Hallett, president of Xantech. “Advanced programmers will be happy to know that every feature continues to be available in Dragon 2.1. What really changes with 2.1 is that we have made it much easier for the non-programmer to utilize Dragon, and thus take advantage of our product portfolio.”

Universal Dragon is a simple software program that allows the installer to easily capture and store IR commands and organize them for easy access in the Palette Libraries. Universal Dragon speaks to a variety of Xantech control products, such as SPLCD, LCD Touch panels, MRC distribution systems, XTR39 remote control and much more, making system programming quick and efficient. The Universal Dragon architecture is completely open and is ideal as a whole-home control interface with any and all systems in a home.
