Tripp Lites Power Seminar at CEDIA Expo 2008

Tripp Lite Offers IP Access & Control/Backup Power Seminar At CEDIA Expo 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chicago, IL (August 26, 2008)–Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection equipment, is offering a seminar on “IP Access & Control and Backup Power for Audio/Video Applications” at CEDIA Expo 2008. The CEDIA-accredited seminar will be conducted on Friday, September 5, at 10 a.m. in the Agate C Room of the Hyatt Regency. Attendees will earn 0.375 Continuing Education Credits toward CEDIA Certified Professional status.

“Power protection, power backup and power management are key to the reliability of today’s sophisticated audio/video installations,” said Dennis Mariasis, Tripp Lite Audio/Video Business Development/Brand Manager. “Especially important is the need to manage the total power environment of A/V systems. Protecting components from surges and other power problems is still vital, of course, but a complete solution includes much more. Our seminar is designed to provide A/V installation professionals with an overview of today’s state-of-the-art power management technologies, and to show how such technologies can benefit both them and their customers.”

The seminar will focus on A/V power issues and Tripp Lite solutions including IP Access & Control UPS Systems and Power Distribution Units (PDUs). Subjects to be covered include:
— Integrating backup power into Crestron, AMX, Control4, and ReQuest Media Centers
— Turning devices on and off remotely, remote system rebooting, remote power diagnostics
— Solving typical problems (firewalls, IP addresses, etc.)

“Our integrated, cost-effective A/V power solutions offer a number of advanced features such as email notification, remote access to and control of system components, remote power diagnostics, and the ability to reboot the entire system remotely if necessary,” Mariasis explained. “The result: increased customer satisfaction, fewer costly service calls, and a healthier bottom line for the installer. With decades of industry experience, Tripp Lite is well qualified to help A/V professionals manage the crucial power component of their installations. We look forward to sharing our expertise with A/V installation professionals during CEDIA Expo 2008.”
