SVS SoundPath Optical and XLR Cables

Audio cables are a trigger for a lot of people; it’s actually understandable considering how expensive many cables are and some of the “science” that is touted in marketing materials.

SVS has decided to take a very different approach with their cables.

SVS have announced the expansion of their audio cable line-up with two new affordable cables which are part of company’s SoundPath series of accessories. The new cables include the SVS SoundPath Digital Optical Cable (also known as TOSLINK) and the SVS SoundPath Balanced XLR Cable. Each costs 29.99 or $39.99, respectively.

The existing line of SVS SoundPath cables includes accessibly priced RCA interconnects and speaker cables, which are available from $24.99 and $43.99, respectively.

SVS Optical Cable

SVS SoundPath Optical

SVS SoundPath Digital Optical Cables pass uncompressed 2-channel PCM stereo audio and compressed 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS audio. The cables are ideal for use with powered speakers, gaming consoles, AV receivers, Blu-ray players, soundbars and more.

Aircraft-grade aluminum terminals and 24K gold-plated connectors ensure a secure and highly conductive connection free from distortion. A protective braided cotton jacket provides easy gripping and flexibility for convenient routing and placement.

SVS SoundPath Optical Cable

Delivering sound as pulses of light and impervious to noise and interference, the SoundPath Digital Optical Cable ensures a truthful rendering of the source signal under any conditions. Its polished monofilament design ensures smooth transitions and efficient signal transfer between components for pristine digital audio playback.

SVS XLR Cable

SVS SoundPath XLR Balanced Audio Cables work with preamps, power amplifiers, subwoofers, AV receivers, microphones, and other audio components with balanced XLR inputs and outputs.

The SVS SoundPath Balanced XLR Audio Cables ensure signal purity, a secure connection, and rejection of interference from the innovative five-layer shielding system. Each cable features cold-fused 24K gold plating on all electrical contacts and premium Zinc-Alloy terminals with Black Nickel plating for optimal conductivity.

SVS SoundPath XLR Cable Cutaway

An innovative 5-layer insulation system within the SVS SoundPath Balanced XLR Audio Cable rejects noise, EMI, and RF interference. Three balanced multi-strand 99.99% oxygen-free-copper conductors are individually isolated for superior connection integrity and make up the first layer of shielding.

The second and third layer consist of an aluminum wrap shield and 56-strand spiral braid of high purity copper. A PVC jacket wrapped in densely braided cotton sheath provides flexibility, easy gripping, and forms the final two layers of the five-layer insulation system.
