The Sound Room Opens New Operations Center

The Sound Room marked its 25th anniversary with the opening of its new operations center on Thursday, June 5, at Spirit Edison, 18167 Edison Ave. Chesterfield Mayor John Nations and the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and proclamation reading in honor of the event.

The Sound Room, which designs and installs fully integrated audio and video systems for residential and commercial markets, has steadily built its custom installation business. The company increased its integration business by 5 percent last year, and today, 80 percent of its business is in custom installation and integration.

“Our dedication to our customers and to high standards of quality has helped us continue to grow our business. Over our 25-year history, The Sound Room has witnessed many changes but has remained committed to enhancing our customers’ lifestyles through technology,” said President David Young.

In addition to the expansion, TSR was recently listed in CE Pro magazine’s 2008 Top 100 list, which ranks the country’s top custom integrators. This is The Sound Room’s third straight appearance on the list, and it is the only Missouri-based company represented. CE Pro is a leading trade publication in the custom electronics industry.

The Sound Room has been serving St. Louis homes and enhancing lifestyles since 1983 and has built a solid reputation for quality installations, expert advice, and comprehensive design and engineering capabilities. The company has showrooms in Creve Coeur, Chesterfield and an operations facility in Chesterfield Valley.
