Scosche Industries Ships FDSR Ford Stereo Replacement Interface for Select 2005 and Newer Vehicles
Expanded Line of Aftermarket Accessories Hits Dealers Shelves

Oxnard, Calif., (November 20, 2008) — Scosche Industries, a leader of mobile electronics aftermarket accessories, announced today it is now shipping its FDSR stereo replacement interface for select 2005 and newer Ford vehicles. While also introducing interfaces for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep models, Scosche has expanded its line of OEM integration interfaces for the aftermarket, providing consumers with a variety of products that will enhance their car audio-listening experience.

The FDSR replacement interface can be used for the 2007-08 Edge, 2006-08 Fusion, 2008 Escape/Hybrid, 2005-08 Mustang, 2007-08 Expedition/L, 2008 Taurus/Taurus X, 2006-08 Explorer, 2007-08 Explorer Sport Trac, 2005-07 Five Hundred, 2008 Focus, 2006-07 Freestyle and 2008 F-Series Pickup.

As is the case with Scosche’s established line of OEM-integrated products, the FDSR was designed to make installation of any brand name aftermarket head-unit simple. The FDSR allows the customer to replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket head unit and utilize their factory amplifier without having to “re-wire” the entire system.

Recognizing the complex electronic integration of new car stereo systems with other factory functions, Scosche has created the unit to allow retention of rear seat entertainment (RSE), THX II option and factory rear Aux-in functionality. The FDSR also features park brake, reverse light, vehicle speed sense (VSS) and illumination outputs.

The FDSR has a data-driven +12V-switched ACC power wire for the aftermarket unit and a +5V-regulated turn-on output for factory amplified subwoofers. Through innovative technology and research, Scosche’s line of stereo replacement interfaces self-adjusts accordingly to avoid distortion of factory speakers. The unit also features a steering wheel control output wire for easy connection to the Scosche SWC OEM steering wheel interface.

The FDSR replacement interface will retail at $129.95 and is available at specialty retailers across the nation and includes all the necessary hardware (FD1432B and matching antenna adapter CRAB).
