Samsung Juke – Good Cell Phone but Weak Music Management

Strategy Analytics Releases “Media Devices User Evaluation: Samsung Juke”

The latest Strategy Analytics Wireless Device Lab benchmark report, “Media Devices User Evaluation: Samsung Juke,” evaluates the recently launched Samsung Juke across a number of core features, including contact management, messaging, imaging and music.

Strategy Analytics has determined that the Samsung Juke has no major but two minor usability issues related to the music player. Small screen size, as well as concerns about durability of the swivel feature were major industrial design concerns.

Playlist Needs Attention
Paul Brown, Senior User Experience Research Analyst at Strategy Analytics, commented, “Respondents found the whole process of creating and adding media to a playlist confusing. They had to open and close the device a number of times, which frustrated many users.”

Christopher Dodge, Analyst, Global Wireless Practice, added, “Users expressed mixed reactions to the unique form factor of the Samsung Juke. In particular, respondents were critical of the extremely small display size on the device.”
