Verizon Wireless is now offering the Samsung Brightside (SCH-U380) slider cell phone which features a 3.1-inch touchscreen display and full QWERTY slide-out keyboard. Users can quickly send text messages and update social networking sites with the Brightside’s one-touch access to messaging and contacts.
The Samsung Brightside has the Social Networks app preloaded, to give you a quick look at your Facebook and Twitter feeds. The phone offers built-in keyboard shortcuts — just press the spacebar to open the Social Networks app or Function + Z to open a quick list of emoticons for quick messaging. The Star key is a shortcut to your 12 favorite contacts. And there’s a dedicated messaging key as a shortcut for writing texts.
