UNION CITY, CALIFORNIA — November 12, 2004 — Runco International, the world leader in high-end home theater video display technology, is pleased to announce that the Runco Academy has been granted ISF calibration accreditation by the Imaging Science Foundation. Runco Academy graduates can now register to complete the test for ISF Certification after having attended the Master Class, which covers ISF’s entire curriculum as well as teaches the techniques for designing the world’s finest home theater video display systems.

“We are very excited to partner with ISF to help Runco Academy graduates gain ISF certification,” stated Bob Hana, president of Runco International. “This is an affirmation of our Master Class’ goal to provide its graduates with the skills and benefits needed to be the world’s foremost home theater installers. The Runco Academy represents the most comprehensive and prestigious program dedicated to the practice of installing home theaters, as it enhances both installation skills, covers industry-standard calibration criteria, and provides CEDIA CEU credits.”

“Runco has always been consistent in encouraging its dealers to master the art of home cinema through certification such as ISF’s accreditation,” said Joel Silver, founder of the Imaging Science Foundation. “Not surprisingly, Runco now has more ISF-certified dealers than any other brand in the industry. At ISF, we admire their commitment, and we think this has yielded great dividend for the industry.”

Exclusive to Runco dealers, the Master Class accreditation program addresses the needs of an evolving custom installation market, promoting high standards in the advancement of video display technology with the utilization of Runco’s innovative products. Through a variety of in-depth courses, including the exclusive Runco video-eye technique, graduates develop expertise for recognizing the elements of an outstanding home theater experience and integrating them into their own designs.

Furthermore, Runco shares CEDIA’s passion for setting the highest standards for designers and installers in the custom residential system industry. As part of CEDIA’s Certified Continuing Education Unit Program, Runco Academy’s Master Class accredited training program enables CEDIA Certified Professionals to continue to develop their industry and technical knowledge.
