Orange Amplifiers Launches the “O” Turntable: Because What the World Really Needed Was Another Minimalist Record Player

With a $699 tag, the O Turntable is belt-driven and comes with a pre-installed MM cartridge and a built-in phono preamp for easy connection with almost any amp or receiver

Orange Amplifiers O Turntable Angle Lifestyle

Orange Amplifiers (yes, that Orange—makers of loud, proud guitar and bass amps since 1968) have built a reputation on rock-solid gear with serious attitude and attention to detail.

Now, they’re continuing their march into consumer audio. After surprising everyone in 2024 with the oddly compelling Pyramid Audio System, Orange is back at it for 2025 with something even more unexpected: a turntable.

Dubbed the O Turntable (because apparently the alphabet starts and ends with “O” now), this UK-built deck is aimed squarely at serious vinyl heads and music lovers who want audiophile performance—along with a dash of Orange’s signature flair.

O Turntable Features: Orange Amplifiers’ Audiophile-Grade Vinyl Spinner

24V Low-Noise Synchronous Motor
The O Turntable features a custom PCB and aluminum pulley system that minimizes vibration while maintaining consistent platter speed. This steady rotation supports accurate groove tracking and overall playback precision.

23mm High-Mass Phenolic Platter with Flywheel Effect
The 23mm phenolic platter adds mass and stability, helping to smooth out rotation and enhance speed consistency thanks to its natural flywheel effect.

Pre-Installed MM Cartridge and Phono Preamplifier
For easy integration into a variety of setups, the O Turntable comes with a built-in moving magnet (MM) phono preamp and a pre-installed cartridge with a replaceable carbon stylus. You don’t need a dedicated phono input—just plug it into any available RCA analog line input on your amp, receiver, or AVR.

Auto-Bias Tonearm with Ultra-Low-Friction Bearings
The tonearm is fitted with ultra-low-friction bearings and a pre-set anti-skating bias. With a push-fit counterweight and no alignment tools required, setup is truly plug-and-play—ideal for those who want audiophile sound without the setup headache.

Sleek White Gloss Plinth and Signature Styling
The O Turntable sports a minimalist white gloss plinth with an underside power switch to keep the surface clean. Orange’s iconic branding appears on the plinth, tonearm, and cartridge. It also ships with a clear dust cover and a custom “Voice of the World” slipmat, because branding is forever.

Designed to Complement the Orange Pyramid Audio System
While the O Turntable pairs effortlessly with Orange’s own Pyramid Audio System, it’s compatible with virtually any setup. It’s simple enough for beginners, but built well enough to satisfy seasoned vinyl junkies.

From Cliff Cooper, Founder & CEO of Orange Amplifiers: “The O Turntable delivers pure, uncompromised vinyl sound with the simplicity and style our customers expect.”

The Bottom Line

The O Turntable marks a bold, if slightly unconventional, entry into the crowded vinyl market from Orange Amplifiers. With its eye-catching design, built-in phono stage, and pre-installed cartridge, it offers a plug-and-play experience at a midrange $699 price point—clearly aimed at style-conscious, younger listeners and fans of the Orange brand.

But competition is fierce. Pro-Ject’s AUTOMAT 1.2 and T1 EVO series offer strong performance and pedigree at lower price points, while Lenco’s sub-$500 lineup adds built-in Bluetooth for extra convenience. Meanwhile, Victrola’s Hi-Res Carbon and Onyx ($599 / $399) bring advanced wireless streaming to the table—literally.

Orange may face a tough climb in a saturated segment, but when paired with its Pyramid Audio System, the O Turntable becomes more than just a novelty—it’s a distinctive system play that could win over design-focused vinyl newcomers and longtime Orange loyalists alike.
