Objectworld Integrates Microsoft Windows Desktop Tools into

Ottawa, Ontario — October 2, 2007 — Objectworld Communications Corp., the leading provider of unified communications software for Microsoft Windows platforms for small- and medium-sized businesses, has announced the general availability of Objectworld Unified Communications Server 4.2. Objectworld Unified Communications (UC) Server 4.2 delivers all of the productivity benefits of presence to the Microsoft Windows desktop, and features drag and drop call-routing, integrated Windows Desktop Search and more.

Objectworld UC Server provides businesses with flexible, end-to-end business communications solutions for the Microsoft platform. This new version of Objectworld UC Server introduces ucCompanion Live-Attendant, a new component that delivers significant productivity and line-of-business integration enhancements, as well as a number of telephony features including call queuing, teleconferencing and SIP trunking.

“Objectworld UC Server delivers a number of tremendous enhancements primarily focused on simplifying business process integration and contextualizing communications,” said Martin Suter, Objectworld’s president. “With integrated presence capabilities, employees can see which of their coworkers is available to take a call, who is out to lunch, when they’ll be back, and so on. Integrated Windows Desktop Search allows an employee to instantly access all of the corporate information available about a caller in whatever form it takes. No other product provides these features today.”

The depth and breadth of integration across the Microsoft platform is unprecedented in the industry. In addition to the ability to manage telephony from within Active Directory for the first time, Objectworld UC Server fully supports Windows Small Business Server, Windows Vista, Exchange, SQL Server, Office (Outlook, SharePoint), and Windows Desktop Search.

ucCompanion Live-Attendant. ucCompanion Live-Attendant provides a visual, SIP-based collaboration environment that allows employees to quickly see who is available to take a call and route the call accordingly. Using real-time presence information about every phone, operators can provide professional call coverage for the entire organization. ucCompanion also includes a soft phone, allowing teleworkers to place calls through the corporate phone system wherever they are.

Integrated Windows Desktop Search. UC Server automatically searches for all available information on a given caller, including e-mail, voicemail and fax messages, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, as well as corporate document repositories like Microsoft SharePoint Server.

Out-dialing. The new outbound dialer enables the rapid development of sophisticated unified communications solutions with existing line-of-business applications. With Objectworld UC Server’s application creation environment and application server, customers are automating business processes as diverse as school absentee notification, automatic appointment reminder, accounts receivable collection and call-out lists to obtain a substitute worker.

SIP Trunking. A wizard-based configuration for SIP trunking lets customers deploy VoIP network connectivity easily and cost-effectively. Businesses can also receive a cost reduction of 30% or greater on phone service and long distance via SIP trunking with an Internet Telephony Service Provider.

Teleconferencing. The new “meet-me” teleconferencing feature allows businesses to efficiently collaborate with branch offices, customers and partners remotely, decreasing the costs associated with travel as well as the cost associated with outsourced teleconferencing.

Active call queues. Active call queue functionality allows calls to be routed automatically (for sales or support, for example), or interactively based on the caller’s choices.

“We’re very eager to provide this new version of Objectworld UC Server to our customers,” said Ken Lewis, vice president North American sales of Interwork Technologies, an Objectworld authorized distributor. “Our customers need unified communications tools to respond effectively to their customers. They need software that helps them effectively manage and enhances the business communications productivity of a decentralized workforce. Objectworld UC Server is the only Microsoft-centric product that addresses those requirements for SMBs today.”
