Niveus Media Receives Funding from Intel Capital

Milpitas, CA — September 7, 2006 — Niveus Media, Inc., a digital media entertainment solutions company noted for award-winning* media centers, recently announced funding from Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of Intel Corporation. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.

“With the expansion of Niveus’ software development efforts to support the Intel Viiv technology platform for entertainment PCs, Intel Capital is making an early financial investment into our developing technologies, products, and company. Intel Capital’s commitment to Niveus, as well as the company’s dedication to recognize and endow companies worldwide that breed innovation, is truly invaluable,” said Tim Cutting, co-founder and CEO of Niveus Media. “We look forward to pushing the technological advancement of the Niveus product line and expanding in the Intel Viiv technology-based entertainment PC category.”

Niveus will use the funds to expand its product line, technologies and marketing efforts in the custom home electronics marketplace. Niveus’ current line of media centers, which include the Rainier, as well as the company’s flagship product, Denali, and Denali Limited and K2 Editions — all based on Intel Viiv technology – allow consumers to create, store, and access their digital media anywhere in the networked home. These solutions also provide easy-to-use integrated digital entertainment, including live and recorded television, movies, music, photos and radio, that consumers can enjoy when and how they want.
