Logitech Delivers USB Headsets with Premium Audio, Exceptional Comfort for PC-Internet Calling, Music, Gaming; Offers Laser-Tuned Audio Drivers, One-Touch Equalizer; Logitech ClearChat Comfort Headset Provides Padded Headband, Plush Ear Pads

Logitech (SWX:LOGN) (NASDAQ:LOGI) today unveiled two new PC headsets that make PC-Internet calling, listening to music and gaming more comfortable, more enjoyable experiences. The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB™ headset features proprietary laser-tuned audio drivers, an audio equalizer switch and a noise-canceling microphone. The Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB™ headset features a padded headband and plush ear pads for exceptional comfort.

“The PC is now the hub around which people entertain themselves and communicate with their family, friends and colleagues,” said Gina Clark, general manager and vice president of Logitech’s Internet Communications business unit. “But many people are frustrated by the lack of comfortable PC headsets and poor audio quality. We’re confident the ClearChat Pro and the ClearChat Comfort USB headsets will enhance the full range of PC applications that benefit from a premium headset experience.”

Both the ClearChat Pro and the ClearChat Comfort headsets connect to the PC through the USB port, producing high-quality, digital audio independent of the quality of the computer’s sound card. And not only are Logitech’s new USB headsets a perfect solution for increasingly popular PC-Internet calling applications, such as Skype, but their audio performance and comfortable design make them ideal for listening to music, watching movies or playing games on the PC.

Logitech ClearChat Pro – Comfort Plus Premium Audio
For people who demand high-performance audio in addition to comfort, the versatile ClearChat Pro USB headset features proprietary laser-tuned audio drivers. In addition, the headset includes the Logitech SoundSwitch™ equalizer, a headset-based switch that instantly optimizes audio performance for the three most common headset activities: PC-Internet calling, music listening and gaming. The PC calling mode accentuates the human voice. For PC playlists and Internet radio, the music mode provides a well-balanced sound. And the gaming mode enhances gaming audio, increasing the level of realism.

Located conveniently on the headset, the controls for the ClearChat Pro headset give people quick access to volume and mute functions. For a more personal fit, the headset features an adjustable noise-canceling microphone with a flexible boom that easily adjusts to the desired distance from the mouth. And as an added convenience, the microphone boom emits a soft, red glow when muted so users can be confident no one else can hear them speaking.

Logitech ClearChat Comfort – Plush, Padded Headband and Ear Pads
For headset users looking for exceptional comfort, the ClearChat Comfort USB headset features a padded headband and plush ear pads. The headband and microphone are easily adjustable for each individual user. For additional convenience, the headset is equipped with in-line volume and mute controls.

Both headsets work with popular PC Internet calling applications, including Skype, Windows Live™, Yahoo! and AIM.

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB and Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB headsets are expected to be available in the U.S. in September and in Europe in October. The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset will have a suggested retail price of $49.99 (U.S.). The Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB headset will have a suggested retail price of $39.99 (U.S.).
