Promotes James Blumhardt to VP, Sales, and Names Industry Vets Kevin Peterman and Tom O’Hanlon as Territory Managers to Further Strengthen Sales
Liberty Wire & Cable, worldwide supplier of a broad range of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, amid growing demand for its wire and cable products and services, has announced the promotion of James Blumhardt to Vice President of Sales for the Eastern Region, and the appointment of two A/V industry veterans, Kevin Peterman and Tom O’Hanlon, as Commercial Territory Managers.
The changes reflect growing demand for Liberty’s vast array of wire and cable products, solutions and services, despite the recession, and its efforts to position itself for further growth. “Liberty is making strategic investments in the A/V marketplace that will provide our customers with top-notch sales professionals as a resource to help build their businesses,” said Liberty President John Dace. Liberty products are part of the infrastructure of projects large and small. Many are prone to over wire to future proof their investments, while taking advantage of solutions that provide significant labor savings and job site efficiencies.
“Because of their infrastructure nature wire and cable products are better situated to ride out an economic recession in both the commercial and residential sectors,” added Kirk Horlbeck, Liberty’s Senior Vice President for Corporate Marketing. “On the residential side, wires and cables are among the few products that are part of the mortgage. On the commercial side, bandwidth often has to be built in before other aspects of a project are completed.”
James Blumhardt is an industry leader with more than 27 years experience in professional A/V, broadcast and systems integration, and the design-build industry. As new Vice President of Sales for the Eastern Region, he will direct, manage and position Liberty’s Eastern Region Sales Team and Consultants with Liberty’s Connectivity Solutions, Products, and Services. Prior to Liberty, Mr. Blumhardt served in management positions for a national integrator and several national and multinational manufacturing companies, including AVI Systems, BARCO Display Systems, Hughes JVC Technology, SACO LED Displays, and Sharp Electronics. He is based in Atlanta Georgia.
Liberty’s new Territory Managers will be will be responsible for managing all commercial dealer sales in their respective areas. Kevin Peterman, new Commercial Territory Manager for the Mid Atlantic Region, brings to Liberty a strong work history, primarily in residential A/V, with more than 10 years experience in Installation Management, Installation and Programming, System Design, and Project Management, as well as Sales Management, Sales and Operations with a national A/V company. “Kevin’s strong working knowledge of the various aspects of A/V installations will prove invaluable for Liberty’s customers,” commented Mr. Blumhardt. Mr. Peterman is based in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania.
Tom O’Hanlon, new Commercial Territory Manager for the Northeast Region, brings to Liberty brings nearly 30 years of professional A/V experience. For the past 15 years, he has served Sharp Electronics in positions that included Northeast Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, and Special Accounts Manager. Prior to Sharp, he served in sales positions at Symco, Inc., Autographix, and Milanese Associates. “Tom brings a professional edge to the Liberty sales force that will assist in keeping our customer both competitive and profitable,” said Mr. Blumhardt. Mr. O’Hanlon is based in Long Island, New York.
