Emphasizing portability and sustainability, these new portables are made with recycled fabric and plastic.

The Xtreme 4 is the top entry in this group and incorporates several advanced features. 

AI Sound Boost analyzes audio in real-time with an AI algorithm to optimize the acoustic output level, leading to more powerful and less distorted sound. 

The JBL Xtreme 4 also now includes a replaceable battery for extended lifespan, Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio, IP67 waterproof and dustproof, a multi-speaker connection when used in conjunction with Auracast, and a power bank providing 24 hours of playtime. 

With its compact size, the JBL Xtreme 4 is at home for that intimate indoor or outdoor gathering. 

JBL Clip 5 ($79.95)

If the Xtrem 4 is more than you want to spend on a portable speaker, then the Clip 5 might be more your style. 

For 2024, JBL has made the Clip 5 easier to travel with its redesigned carabiner. The carabiner has a larger,  more accessible opening. This makes the Clip 5 easier to clip on anywhere. 

As a stylish travel accessory, the Clip 5 incorporates an increase in driver power that allows for more streamlined sound and consistent bass.

For additional flexibility, the Clip 5 features 12 hours of playtime, Bluetooth v5.3 with LE audio capabilities, and an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating.

JBL Portable app support and multi-speaker connection via Auracast is also included.  

JBL Go 4 ($49.95)

JBL Go 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Despite its modest price and compact size, the Go 4 has a fuller sound and punchier bass than its predecessor.

As JBL’s smallest portable, the Go 4 is easy to take anywhere. This speaker features updated wider styling with a more durable strap.

JBL Go 4 provides 7 hours of playtime, is IP67 waterproof and dustproof, comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio, and has a multi-speaker connection via the JBL Portable app and Auracast. The Go 4 comes in six colors.
